Poetry Lounge — Restaurant in Millvale

I don't know what these people are complaining about on here. Maybe they're from France or something. I think this place is a gem. Sure the shape of the bar is long, thus the stage is difficult for people to see all the way down at the other end, but what do you want, so are about 7,000 other bar/music spots in the country...probably a gross understatement to be honest. Being a touring musician who has played in 47 out of 50 states, I think is more than adequate and the sound is phenomenal. Seriously don't know what they're talking about. The staff has never been anything but nice to me, and if you're complaining about speed, I'd take great service over speed any day. This isn't NYC or Chitown, or Miami people, chill out and enjoy being present. People that just come on here to whine about a place instead of talking about all the facets, just are whiners and are going to use whatever platform they have to be heard since they're probably awful in conversation. Probably why they complain about the slowness, bc they're so irritated with themselves, that having to wait just forces them to realize how impatient they are. Anyway, enough enough enough, don't listen to those DH's, this spot is cool af. Artistic meets progressive, meets, eclectic meets diverse, meets, raw meets lovely. Definitely becoming our go to spot, way better than the alternative, and a fair price on top of that. The only complaint I have are some of the jerks that have brushed shoulders with me in there...but they are weeding themselves out, so COME ON ARTISTS AND FELLOW WEIRDOS LETS CLAIM THIS SPOT AS OURS. Bro dudes and Like Likes can go to 2xL or back over...

I’ve been a regular here since they opened, and there’s a reason for that. The staff is incredible and the drinks are delicious!

Premium drinks are a bit pricey, but that is to be expected with the quality of spirits used to make them. My fiancé’s favorite is what she calls her “sharky drink”, and I sneak in an Old Fashioned or Manhattan now and then. I haven’t had a bad drink here.

I can’t help but harp one more time on how great the folks are who work there. From the folks watching the front door to the bartenders to the owner, everyone makes it a welcoming...

My son is in a band that plays all across the area and last night happens to be our first trip the Poetry Lounge. The one and only reason I did not give 5 stars is the difficulty of parking in Millvalle. This bar has by far the best bartending team I have ever dealt with! Not only was service fast and friendly but, they even helped my daughter (who rarely drinks and does not know what she wants) find a drink she would like, telling us that if she didn't enjoy it, they would...
