Sidelines Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Millvale

In short, coming from an out-of-towner who was just looking for food and beer on a Friday night, this place is SO worth your time. Incredible staff, great bar food and beer and drink selection. If you care to read on, I felt compelled to brag about my experience in more detail:

Came here on a whim for some grub and drinks with my fiancée while staying in Millvale for a weekend. I'm a big boneless wing and spicy food fan, so I decided to give them a ride with their house hot flavor. I cannot speak more highly of this combination. You can tell they tenderize the chicken before breading and frying it, which makes the wings incredibly tender. To boot, the breading is nice and light so that you're not eating a giant shell of deep fry, but rather a savory combination of chicken and breading. I had to ask the server as to the recipe, and he informed me they coat the wings in buttermilk with a panko breading before tossing and frying. Delicious. The signature hot flavor was, in my opinion, in the top 5 hot wing sauces I've had. It's not your run-of-the-mill, franks-red-hot-wing-sauce, but rather a more robust, darker experience that has just the right amount of heat with a unique flavor. My fiancée went with the cheese curds, which were also delectable. The two guys at the bar ran the show incredibly well and made it to our table almost 10 times across the 1.5 hours we spent, which is highly commendable for a busy Friday night in which they waited tables as well as the bar. Having worked both as a server and bartender in the past, I was thoroughly impressed by these guys and this place overall. I will definitely be back to this place whenever I'm in the area...

I came to Sidelines twice and both times it was forgettable. I only came there to meet people and I truly wanted to like the place. I came in on a Friday night around 8pm and the place was maybe half full at the most. The bar was half full and there was 2 bar tenders. My first drink took about 5 minutes to arrive. My second drink(I'm not exaggerating) took about 45 minutes. Both bar tenders walked past me numerous times and never even acknowledged me. It seemed like they were only serving one side of the bar. I was getting annoyed in which I never do because I have worked in the service industry for a long time and I know how it is. Finally ,I was forced to order 2 drinks at once because the wait was so long. The food is awful. EVERYTHING is put in a fryer. Quesadiellas should not be a greasy mess. I asked the bar tender if I could order ANYTHING grilled and he said it was not possible. I picked up a piece of my Quesadiella and my hands were drenched in grease. This place is over priced and the food is a heart attack waiting to happen . I don't think the place even has a grill. How they cook hamburgers is a mystery to me. The bar tenders have no...

My boyfriend and I just came from this establishment , I used to come here all the time when I was younger and was so excited to introduce my boyfriend to their wings...from the moment we walked in the door ,we knew there were going to be problems. It took a few mins for us to be acknowledged and seated..then we had a choice of sitting at the very end of the bar or in a corner behind a wall but still in the bar area. there was space on the other side of the bar ,We opted for the table.

The server took our orders and my drink order and never came back to the table ..we were there for at least 40 mins ,we watched people come in after us, get seated right away with drinks and soon their food came out . I'm livid. I wanna say we just got forgot about but it wasn't busy and there were was more than one person working.

I just don't think this is a Black friendly establishment anymore.
