The Backyard — Restaurant in Milton

This was our first visit to the backyard and I'm not sure if we will return after this service. I told the server before ordering ANY food that I have an egg allergy. We ordered our food and the chicken tenders and sauce were given to us. I double checked with our server to assure the tenders did not contain any egg and she said she would check again. Well the tenders and sauce she served us contained egg. This was after I had already eaten one because I was sure our server made sure of everything being safe for me to eat. I have terrible cramps and stomach issues after digesting egg so the little that I ate did not do much damage, but I'm glad I double checked. The food was just bland. I understand this may be a health consciousness place, but you can still add flavor to the food. My steak was dry and lacked even basic seasonings. My sons mac and cheese was very bland and my husband's burger was dry and again, bland. While I am not the type of person to judge an establishment on a one time only service, I have to say I am very disappointed in the service and food we recieved today. I would not recommend this place, but still may give it another shot in a few months and hopefully things...

I have been here several times and the food is always good . On weekend nights it gets busy, you might have to wait for a table and the service might be underpar because of how crowded it is.... At least I thought that was the case . But It's a Tuesday morning and when we walked in there was only ONE other table of people . The waitress came over, introduced herself and told us she was training someone today . All is fine there , we order and get our food. A minute later she asked if everything came out okay , then that's it . Never seen again . Mind you there are only 2 other tables at this point . We never were offered any refills of any kind or anything. And finally after I stacked out plates and sat arms crossed did the other waitress ( she just came in for her shift) ran over and asked what she could get us . This whole time our waitess is in a in-depth conversation about who knows what with a woman who just walked in , the trainee , hiding in the corner. As we walked past the waitress to leave she doesn't even acknowledge us. I wonder if this is really how the owner wants their employees...

The food was good but the execution/service was lacking. My wife had the trucker sandwich and it was a big delicious sandwich. I started with the French onion soup and for my entree I had the shrimp and grits. The portion was a nice size and I enjoyed my meal. Now for the execution part... we were seated quickly but it seemed to take a while for someone to greet us at our table and take our drink order. We both ordered sweet teas and a different server attempted to drop off a pair of Cokes. Then while waiting for our correct drinks, someone else attempted to drop off food for another table. Our correct food was delivered rather quickly but it took a while for someone to come back over and see how it was and if we needed drink refills or anything else. I think one of the problems was that during our time at the restaurant we had no less than four different people visit our table.
