Firebird Hot Chicken has officially landed on my list of Milwaukee must-eats! Located conveniently on Capitol Dr near Dineen Park, this place is serving up some seriously delicious and FRESH hot chicken. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a friendly and upbeat atmosphere - the young, energetic staff really know how to create a hype vibe!

But let's talk about the star of the show: the chicken! The fact that they use all-natural, free-range, never-frozen chicken makes a HUGE difference. It's incredibly juicy and tender. And the spice levels? Perfection! I went for the "so-hot" and it definitely delivered a satisfying kick without being unbearable. They truly cater to everyone, though, with options from no-spice all the way to face-melting.

Beyond the chicken sandwiches and wraps, the loaded fries were phenomenal, and I couldn't resist trying the Mac & Cheese (which did not disappoint!). The house-made sides and sauces are a testament to their commitment to quality, and the dessert menu... wow! I grabbed a milkshake for the road, and it was the perfect sweet ending to a spicy meal.

UPDATE! Just had to come back and revamp my review of this establishment. Last evening I had an unfortunate exchange with one of the new cashiers, which didn't end on a good note. After that, I had vowed not to ever order from there again.

Well this afternoon I had received an unexpected phone call from the actual owner of Firebird Hot Chicken, Eddie, and it really blew me away. He was so kind and just wanted to touch base with me & apologize about the incident that had occurred. Apparently they were having some mishaps with the online menu on Grubhub but that should all be resolved & corrected soon.

This man has restored my faith in what customer service should look like. I could tell that Mr. Eddie takes pride in his restaurant & loves serving the community.
