Well, we are now down to only one Honeydip Donut location in Milwaukee. I pulled up to the SouthEast store on 27th St. and a "For Lease" sign was hanging on the door, no donuts in sight on the shelves and the homeboy who is usually there actually went home. So that store is history. That made my life more difficult. So, even though it was almost closing time I trucked on over to the other store on W. Layton for my donut fix. Along my way, I saw a clump of something in the middle of the street in a left-turn lane. When I got close enough, the clump moved and I realized it was some dude on the ground. He was simply adjusting his sleeping position from laying on his back to laying on his stomach on a blanket he spread out nicely in the center of the lane where he also had a pillow, some sodas, a Little Caesar's pizza box and some other personal items. I sidled up to him and remarked "Wow, I guess this is a good place to take a nap." Anyway, I get to Honeydip, and to my surprise, I found out they no longer make my two favorite donuts (i.e., powdered chocolate creme filled, and powdered vanilla creme-filled). I felt like I got hit by a cement...
Read moreDisgusting food is all I have to say. I haven't visited this place in a longtime and only have purchased donuts. But this time I decided to try the burger and was told it only had onions, tomatoes, ketchup, and lettuce. When we started to eat our burgers we found not only mayo was on it but there was way too much of it on the burgers. So I asked the person at the cash register about this and their only answer was you asked for everything and my response it was fine to have the mayo but not enough to drench the burger with mayo. I then told him the burgers with all the mayo are too much for me and was thinking that he would try and fix the problem but NO. He pretty much try to make it my fault for asking for everything so we thru the nasty burgers out and left. I WILL NEVER RETURN TO THIS PLACE. Restaurants like this is why I always cook my own food and will continue to do so...
Read morePreorders beware... On 9/18/25 I placed an order for two boxes of 36 donuts on Honeydip's website. I ordered in advance with a plan to pick up my order between 7:10 and 7:20 a.m. on 9/19/25. I received an email and text confirmation for my prepaid order.
At 6:40 a.m. on 9/19/25 I received a text saying that my order was cancelled leaving me scrambling to find a last minute solution.
I'd like to give a five star shout out to the morning team at the Miller Park Dunkin Donuts for coming through at the last minute. I gave them a call when I saw Honeydip cancelled. Dunkin had my order ready when I arrived 15 minutes later - and that's even with a line around the building in the drive thru. It was $10 less expensive than Honeydip to boot!
