We love The Domes! The spring display was looking a tiny bit tired in spots, but it didn't matter. There was new life blooming all over, & even a "Pigeon Crossing" across one of the paths, AND a pigeon, too! My grandkids love coming here. The gazebo is always a happy place, to twirl, dance, or even pretend you're a princess 💗 we stayed till closing at 5pm. There were a few odd things going on outside that I didn't care to witness. Especially with my 7 y/o grandgirl with me. One man, who appeared to be in pain, was off his bike, on his knees on the sidewalk just south of the Domes. He was apparently alright. I stopped, of course, & asked another pretty rough character if he knew this man? Or whether he was OK? He replied that, yeah, the guy does it just about every day ... OK. Odd, but OK. The amount of trash & litter in & around Mitchell Park itself was sad. I took my granddaughter over to the jungle gym & swings. There was garbage all over the street & laying on the grounds. The ice cream man came jingling along, pushing his cart. He stopped, said something to me in Spanish, which I didn't understand. He said, you beautiful & then kissed my hand. I thanked him but then he grabbed me, said he LOVED ME & tried to kiss me on the mouth!! I pushed him back & said no no no! 5 little children watching all this! Unreal! Well, he jingled away rather quickly, and me, my granddaughter & 4 little girls had an awesome talk about stranger danger!! Love The Domes. The park, at your own risk. If you're lonely, the ice cream man also...

Read moreOther than the fact that the pavilion ROOM renters PHYSICALLY stood in front of the doors like bouncers and tried to block people, even elderly family members and those accompanying young children, from going to the bathroom, AND watched them walk back out, like they were going to steal something. This park is and has always been a beautiful, inclusive, great, safe park. We have had our family gathering there for over 25 years and the bathrooms have been public bathrooms and there was no notice, when our reservation was made, that we could not use the bathrooms. Nonetheless, we still had fun and we will still be back to this beautiful,...
