JJ Fish & Chicken — Restaurant in Milwaukee

5/22/2019: Visited this restaurant for the first time and treated my friend as a thank you for the ride home. We each ordered a meal of 3 chicken wings and 1 pc catfish fillet, plus a slice of lemon cake. When we each got home and settled in to eat, we noticed the fish was catfish steaks instead of catfish fillets. I called the restaurant to report the discrepancy. The guy who answered the phone informed me that they did not have fillets at this time and to return another day to get the same special for the same price as today. Well, when we ordered, we were asked if we wanted steaks or fillets...we selected fillets. While we waited, it should have been communicated to us that fillets were out of stock and we should have been given the option to change our order at that time. After a long day at work, I was not in the mood to haggle. My friend was more angry than myself and wanted to go back immediately. It would have been wasted time to return to the restaurant since they were out of the product we ordered. I'm going to count this eating experience as a restaurant I will not return to. We chose to stop here because it was close to our homes and my friend said they had good food. First was told online order not found.was told to call number on screen. It was there number! Went there with receipt, magically they found it. Trip number 2, told no cod. Well, ok got cat fish. To go back and then they shorted me 1 order of the cat fish. Trip number 3, got my final order. Witnessed staff telling customers to take business next door to another place. This is the silver spring location. Wouldn't suggest at all this location, as unless you have 2 hours or arguing for your order just to be messed up. Staff don't care. Paying 76dollars for food and get 0 service. Food is good is why I ordered. But not worth the stress. Clearly the staff should all be redirected as they must think customer service isn't necessary part to stay open. No option given to remedy my...

You filled the tiny container of coleslaw with only like half the amount of coleslaw. I mean basically there's like barely tablespoon of coleslaw... Honestly, instead of doing this really offensive penny pinching move just don't offer the coleslaw at all. Also you failed to include a plastic fork with which to eat this coleslaw with. And just so everyone can picture this, it's a one oz container and there should be 1 oz of coleslaw in it, but basically there's a 1/2 ounce. A 1/2 ounce of coleslaw... think about that...

And if you can't offer 2 pieces of bread that aren't stale don't offer them at all.

I live in Chicago and the JJ fish locations down there do not skimp on stuff like this.

Somebody else should take over this JJ...
