McDonald's — Restaurant in Milwaukee

Generally speaking, most McDonalds in urban areas have bad reputations. Living in an urban area for 24 years, I've grown accustomed to lackluster quality service from their staff and barely bat an eye at it anymore, but I must say, this place was the absolute worst location from the chain restaurant that I've ever been to.

Drive thru line was super long bc I went during rush hour, so I decided to go inside so my child could use the restroom. Management wasnt the best there, with the manager cursing out her employees in full sight and hearing of the customers. also, the employees kept making sales for items that they couldnt provide, and ended up having to make lots of substitutions for free, or refund someone's purchase entirely (dont make someone pay for an item you know you dont have in the first place). Thats just a bit of what ik saw going on, but what bugged me was the interaction I had with the cashier.

The line inside the store ran from the register to the back wall of the restaurant, service was so slow. After standing in that long line, I finally make it to the register. Before I can even utter a single word of my order, the girl at the register tells me she'll be back in just a moment and leaves b4 I can even fully acknowledge her statement. So I'm standing there waiting for her to come back and take my order, the line's just getting longer and longer the more time passes, and all the while, the girl is just ignoring the line completely, on her phone, walking around in circles. After 5 minutes of just standing there, I finally catch a moment with the girl to ask her if I can place my order. Her response "I'm making drinks right now so you'll have to wait"... IVE BEEN WAITING FOR 5 MINUTES WHILE I WATCHED YOU STAND OFF TO THE SIDE DOING BASICALLY NOTHING!! Its poor service to tell a customer that they'll have to wait so that you can continue doing nothing especially considering that the customer hadnt paid yet. That's not how you make money. Many of the customers ended up leaving before purchase because of the slow service and rude staff.

Considering who they had working the register, I can totally understand why the line was so long. Worst service at a fast food joint I've ever experienced, and fast food places dont tend to have good service from the get go, so just imagine...

Update 12-17-21 @10:50AM Today I went through the drive through and the service was polite and professional as usual. Wait time was much better today and there seemed to be a sense of urgency with staff.

I ordered a Quarter pounder with cheese with a medium Coke. The fries were hot nd crispy today and my sandwich much to my surprise was cooked to medium or medium well. This made the burger much more enjoyable instead of the McDonalds Standard of all burgers cooked well done.

I ordered a Quarter pounder with cheese with a large Coke. My order was correct, unfortunately the food was luke warm would be my only constructive feedback today.

There was a much longer wait than usual. Not sure if they were short staffed, or if they had a large order to complete. But I ended up waiting like twenty minutes from the time I entered the drive through line to getting my order. Also not sure if there are issues with the equipment recognizing a vehicle being in the outer lane but they skipped over taking my order several times.

Got off work about 1am stooped for a bite to eat. Ordered two fillet of fish sandwiches and they both were very old the bread and fish was hard and stale. This happens so often in the black community. We have the worst McDonald’s or any restaurant service ever here in milwaukee. It’s so sad to see how our community takes no pride in what they serve us when it comes to fast food. I am too through with fast food restaurants in the black community because it’s sad to say but this McDonald’s and the other inner city restaurants as well (Burger king, Wendy’s, checkers) all have a history of serving terrible food. You try to support our black owned or black run businesses and get blackballed and screwed. I have no faith in none of them ever and this mcdonalds on 27th street is just another prime example why they are rated only two stars. Please get it together. I lose out because who wants to drive all the way back three miles just to take two sandwiches back? I will be taking them back tommorow though. Just...
