Never again will I order pizza from NYPD Pizza. Clearly I haven't learned from the last time that I ordered from them and my order was completely messed up, cold and waited almost a hour and a half to get my damn pizza. Placed an order online at 4pm today (6/21/2016) and I thought I ordered two 14" pizzas. Nope. That's not what I ordered. I ordered one 14" pizza some bread sticks and a two liter of soda. The bread sticks aren't the normal bread sticks. It's some mini bread sticks that were over seasoned! HORRIBLE! When I was placing the order I was never given the option to choose what soda I wanted and there were no soda options given. So what did they bring? Orange Soda. The pizza was small and luke warm. And it was probably luke warm due to the fact that IT WAS NOT in a pizza delivery bag. I've had hotter pizza from Little Caesars'. So I called right away to speak to the manager and was told that she had left and would be back around 6:30. I thought to myself "Ok cool, I'll call back at that time." Called back at 6:30 only to be told that she won't be in for the rest of the day and hasn't been in all day. So I talk to a dispatcher. I pretty sure this is the same young lady that I spoke to the first time I ordered from this damn place when my ordered was screwed up. I explain to her the situation and then she asked me if I still had the food. No I don't have it my kids are eating it now because I've held on to this pizza for the last hour and a half waiting to speak to the manager. At this time April and I had been on the phone for nine minutes and forty-three seconds. She then says "oh well there is nothing that can be done because you don't have the food to return for a refund." WHAT FOOD ESTABLISHMENT TAKES FOOD BACK ON A REFUND??? NONE OF THEM. They all have signs that say that they'll fix the mistake or correct the order but no refunds will be issued. I said ok cool and ask when the owner will be in? She's not sure because he comes in and out throughout the day and proceeds to tell me that he will tell me the same thing. Then I asked for her name and she had the nerve to get defensive. Not one time was I rude and I didn't cuss at her throughout our conversation. Contrary to popular belief stating your name when working in a customer service position is anticipated at the beginning of the conversation. I just wasted 28.49 on some punk ass food when I could've invested it back into my own business or used it and went to the grocery store and bought stuff for tacos. I guarantee my kids would've appreciated that much than the pizza. I really wish I could've given this zero stars but it wouldn't let me post it without marking at...
Read moreI've been getting food from here for about 3 years. The food is usually good , (when its all there). The last 3 times ive ordered have been online. A new app called (eatstreet) . the app isnt the problem . its the workers in the restaurant . my order is either completely wrong or things are missing. When i check the bag at my door im told that they are busy and that i should order on a less busier day. I called about 2 weeks ago and actually caught the "owner" Ahmad. He was really friendly and said he apologized. I had ordered two 16" pepperoni pizzas. I had received 2 16" pepperoni, ham and sausage pizzas. (Im allergic to ham) he told me they were extremely busy and a replacement order would take maybe and hour and a half to get to me. He said if i kept the pizzas he would give me 2 free pizzas next time i called. I asked him how would the cashier knoo... he said he was putting it under my name and number. I agreed to keep them.. Maybe 2 days later i called to get the free pizzas and was told that there was no such thing under my name or number. When I asked to speak to Ahmad I was told no such person worked there.. When i asked the cashiers name she refused to give it to me. I let it go.. And took a short break from ordering from them. Decided to order today since i didnt want to cook. My food arrived..the pizza was stuck to the top of the box.. The ice cream was full of chocolate. (I ordered caramel) .. My 2 liter was forgotten. The driver surprisingly told me his name was AHMAD!!!!! And that when he got to the restaurant he would put a coupon under my name and number. I explained to him that was a lie before. And the other guys name was Ahmad to. He just reassured me that he was the real guy . I called and was told they were too busy and no manager was around to speak.. The cashier (Tina) even went as far as to tell me "girl i have other orders" and hang up.. I write this to say that this is not okay. Such good food, with lousy service. Please fix this before u guys lose a loyal customer. I may just be one of many who have...
Read moreI was wondering if I should give this place a 2 or 3 stars. I'll start with the thing that disappointed me the most, when I got my pizza it was cut in squares!! I'm not sure how you can call yourself a New York pizza place and cut your pizza in squares!! The other thing that disappointed me was the fact that the crust was not anywhere near what I'm used to from New York Pizza. It was too thin! Finally I thought the price was a bit on the high side for what you get. Took about an hour for delivery which seems like too much for a place that's not even a mile away from me but I guess now a days an hour is normal, and I could have just picked it up. Was feeling lazy.
It wasn't all bad, the pizza itself was actually pretty good, a bit on the spicy side, I like that but some of the other people didn't care for it. I had specifically asked them to do a pie cut but they messed up and cut it in squares so the lady from the place called asking me if this would be ok or not, I was hungry and just wanted my food so I said it was ok, but I was still like "Seriously? That's their default?". But at least they did notice their mistake and they asked. The lady I talked to was not rude in any way.
I used grub hub to order from this place, so I will give them props for that, I think more restaurants should start using grub hub. I like how when I get my food I don't even have to sign anything because I've already paid grub hub.
The Delivery driver was polite, he called me to let me know how was there. Since I didn't have to pay him anything and I had already left him a tip on grub hub then our transaction was very short. I wouldn't say the pizza was cold, but it certainly wasn't hot either. Which again coming from a place so close to me makes me wonder why.
But overall the experience was just ok. Would I order from here again? Sure, I'd try them out if I was too lazy to go to Pizza Shuttle, but I certainly wouldn't consider them a New York pizza place. I think "The Classic Slice" has a much more New...
