Kilbourn Reservoir Park by Milwaukee Water Works — Attraction in Milwaukee

A pretty large open hilled park where you can wall your dog (on leash), open a blanket and sun bathe, or read a book under the shade of wide limbed oak trees. Great city views, and I think there's a point where 2 trails cross paths (sorry, don't know which trail systems). There's a playground nearby and a rather large gazebo on the grounds. The Kilbourne community gardens are also nestled in the north western part of the park, with one bed specifically designated for community members to grab a tasty treat while passing by. The view from the summit of the Kilbourn Reservoir/Park may be THE MOST SPECTACULAR view of my dear hometown. PARK ON MEINECKE , on the north side of the park, and walk up the long, yet gentle grade. From this one location, you can see from 27th/Wisconsin thru the valley of the Milwaukee River and thru the Eastside all the way to the UW-MILWAUKEE campus.
