We recently had an incredible dinner at The Miner’s Apron, a true hidden gem in Morris County! Nestled in the historic town of Mine Hill, Vinnie and his team have transformed this beautiful building into a family-friendly, cozy tavern-like venue. The food is exceptional, and the cocktail menu is equally impressive. But what truly sets The Miners’ Apron apart is the warm hospitality. Whether you’re planning a date night or a full family gathering, this place is a must-try. We can’t wait to return and experience more of their culinary delights! Thank you to Vinnie and the team for making our meal so memorable. From the impressions of my first time here it was ok. The bartender was definitely inexperienced because when I asked what was on tap she only named common beers like Guinness and Budweiser and gave me an ambiguous response, another customer actually ended up pointing out the tap menu. A nice lady (someone else working there) briefly told me about the history of the building; it apparently is from the 1800s but it is definitely modern inside. Atmosphere is ok if quaint, there are TV's, a jukebox, hunting themed and golf arcade machines and a spattering of advertisment signs. Didn't order any food so I don't know how that fairs but they had a decent selection of beers (I don't know about the liquor or mixed drinks either). The service was polite and the customers looked like they were having a good time. I normally don't go to bars but for a nice place to hangout this place can be host for a pleasant evening depending on one's tastes. I had one beer around midnight and I left after twenty minutes or so, I had a decent time considering I usually don't like most bars.

My family and I had dined at Miner’s Apron and absolutely will be back. From the moment we walked in we were greeted promptly by the hostess who sat us immediately. The owner welcomed us after a few minutes of sitting down and gave us great food recommendations (he wasn’t overbearing and seemed very genuine - you could tell he really cares about his restaurant). FOOD: We had ordered rigatoni bolognese, blue cheese burger, and the seafood risotto as entrees. All came out piping hot, made to order, and at the same time. I had asked for my scallops to be made well-done and they were perfect. We had the clam appetizer which was spicy but really good! We also had the French onion soup which was fantastic. DRINKS: My mom had a speciality cocktail and said it was really good, and they had plenty of options for beers on tap. Our only negative feedback is that the chairs are uncomfortable and that it is a little loud. Overall we’ll be back! We had a great experience and even better food!

This place is fantastic. The food is absolutely top-notch. All fresh, all homemade. Our table shared the wings, meatballs and figs as appetizers, and we really were stunned with the quality. The habanero sauce with the wings had an outstanding flavor and kick. The meatballs might as well have been made in an outstanding Italian restaurant. The apps were so good, we were really excited for our mains.

I had "The Beast" which is an open faced roast beef sandwich on garlic toast with brown gravy, burrata and fried onions. It was absolutely outstanding. Great flavor combinations. Incredible texture and a really well conceived dish.

Also at our table we had the scallops, fried chicken and a burger which my brother-in-law declared was significantly better than another local establishment that he felt had the best burgers around. High praise. Everyone loved their dinner.

We also had two little ones with us, and I have to say, as a dad who has seen his share of "children's menus" over the last several years, similar care and consideration went into making the kid's food. The adults at the table were sneaking bites of the kid's fries, chicken and pasta, and everyone was equally impressed. The food was a testament to how selecting good, fresh, local ingredients and preparing them with care can make a dining experience special.

The service was equally special. It wasn't an easy table with two little kids, but our service was well executed, well timed and never felt rushed or uncomfortable. Vinnie, our server (and I think possibly an owner) was obviously knowledgable and proud of the menu and had great suggestions. He was attentive without being intrusive...he helped me keep my littlest guy entertained and happy. Again, all very thoughtful and it made for an outstanding experience.

Part of me didn't want to write this review because a place like this is going to take off in an area like this, and selfishly, I'd love to be able to walk in there any time I want and have dinner with my family. But it's so clear that these folks have poured a lot of heart and soul into their business, and they deserve to be busy!

I feel like this place is can't-miss. You should try it out. What a little gem in Mine Hill, NJ. Many thanks to the staff for a really enjoyable evening. I'm already looking forward to...

Visited for my first time on Saturday. Was in a party of 8. The table setting was supposedly rustic but I would call it cheap. The seating was very crowded. The noise level during our entire meal was mind numbing, you could hardly hear yourself think. I had to remove myself from the building to get some relief. Conversation within the group was impossible. The waiter insisted on talking from one end of our seating which made it impossible to recognize anything he said at the other end. He gave us a verbal listing of the specials, more than half of which we couldn't hear and had to ask several times for repeating. At NO time were prices of the specials (and desserts) ever mentioned. After looking over the menu I realized that the current prices were 20+% higher than those on the website menu. I chose to go with the Hanger Steak and was told that they were out of that item. I subsequently ordered a rare burger. My S.O. ordered the Risotto with Scallops. To their credit the burger was cooked appropriately but I did not enjoy the flavor of the beef and only ate about 1/3 of my dinner. My S.O. commented that her scallops were charred, not to her liking. The number of scallops were not commensurate with the cost of the dinner. Considering all the negatives I can only say they will never...

We had the pleasure of trying Minors Apron for the first time, this past Saturday. We were warmly greeted upon entry and seated at a table immediately. There were 4 adults in our party. Our waitress came to our table quickly and asked for our drink and app orders. We had tried the Chips and Quac as a starter. The chips were outstanding. They were warm and homemade and came with a selection of dips. For dinner, two of us ordered one of the daily specials, the Chicken Parm. One ordered the Fried Chicken Thigh Sandwich and the other ordered the Roast Beast open face skillet. All of us were very happy with our choices. In addition, the portions were very generous. The service was outstanding. We also liked that the owner came to us and introduced himself and asked if we needed anything and to check that we were enjoying our meal. We all felt very welcomed. The atmosphere was excellent and the food was outstanding as well as the service. We are so impressed with Miners Apron, we are already planning on going back in the next week to celebrate one our of...
