What an adorable little place!
Our trip began at 715am. After picking up my son from the Airport.in Madsion, his Girlfriend suggested we meet.her at the Pointer Cafe for lunch on the way home. We were traveling with an 18 month old and did nit expect the GREAT ENTERTAINMENT this.place would provide.
I kick myself for not taking pictures of the most adorable kids play area. They have a table set fairly close to the area with a one way in and out open door frame. So while we were able to sit and enjoy a meal, the little man played and wore off energy.for our trip home. I wish more places had this available.
As for the food.... our table had spaghetti and meatballs ( that my 14yr old thoughts had great flavor and was delicious ) ,liver and onions ( my 25yr old said was good however the liver was a little tough) oatmeal with eggs and English muffins ( there was a little confusion about the no dairy inky because the buttered the muffin however they brought out the dry muffin with no problem and everything had great taste, the oatmeal was very filling and Alot.of it) pancakes, eggs, bacon, toast ( my oldest son said it was delicious!! IN fact his girlfriend stole a few bites and agreed) I.ORDERD the Monte Cristo, ( always try one anywhere I can find them! I am use.to it being ham and turkey but there was only ham and The ham was a little tough...there was no fruit served with it or.fruit preserve which made me a little sad. However it may not have been my best Monti Cristo but it did it was still good. And I LOVE THE FRIES. We also had carrot cake and coffee cake but taste GREAT
THE SERVICE was really friendly and good. And the environment was clean and had some great things to LOok at for deco..
PRICE.. what a great value everything was. We were definitely shocked that our ticket was not more.
I will definitely love to come back and try more of the menu items. It was just such a cute...
Read moreSuper super rude will never go back first of all took way to long for the waitress to acknowledge we were there. Waitress took a long time as she definitely catered to locals. I ordered a lunch special and added on salad bar I got my salad and soup I decided to give my soup which was included to my son since we waited so long and he was hungry. When I went to pay my bill she told me total I asked to see my bill she got irritated and slammed it down. I asked her what the open food was she told me it was for my son eating my soup I explained to her I gave him my soup not only that I did buy him his own meal she literally went off on me how I’m not getting foood anywhere cheaper and was so rude I then paid for another bill I asked her to see the bill as again she only told me what I owed she groaned and through it down I told her it was my right to see my bill she then said this was my fault and I was turning it around on her. Moral of the story the lady is rude and has no business working in the...
Read moreI completely agree that this place only cares about locals. My husband and I are from out of town and walked in on a Monday around 1pm. We said hello to a waitress and she simply looked us up and down without saying a word. We found a table and she brought menus and literally dropped the rolled silverware on the table. A new waitress took our order and was kind. We waited over 20 minutes for a BLT and burger that were inedible. When we brought it to their attention we had been waiting that long, the first woman barked at my husband about it being busy. (It wasn’t. At all.) The burger was gray and the bun was soaked with juice. The mayo on both of our meals looked curdled. We took it to go and tossed it in the trash at a gas station. It was all so bad, it was almost humorous. To be fair, the fries were decent! Lesson learned that unless you live in Mineral Point, avoid this...
