Went to hear Rucksack Revolution, a spin-off of Dead Horses and Horseshoes & Hand Grenades, on March 16, 2024. As usual, the staff at the Opera House was top notch, and the performance was going great, until the 2nd set. For some reason, Rucksack started tearing down Illinois, and was even saying to a guy in the audience "What, you're from Illinois?" I didn't stick around to hear the rest. First time ever I left during a performance. First time ever, I walked past the merch table (I always support the Indie artists...too much.) As I was crossing back into Illinois, I wondered if Rucksack realized that the St. Patrick's Day corned beef pizza appetizer that I sent to them at Eliza’s was from a guy from IL, and paid for with IL $. Well, Sarah would have, I've talked to her many times, and did just before I sent them the appetizer. The thing is, I have been supporting WI music for many years, in Deerfield, Monroe, Madison, Milwaukee, Stoughton, Stevens Point, Hillsboro, Prairie du Sac, Milton, Janesville, Mineral Point, etc. I have never ran into this, and even outside of music events, haven't heard this for decades. (Obviously, I don't attend sporting events!) So, I will not be hearing Rucksack again, and my next event is hearing the incredible Molly Tuttle, in Illinois!

Saw Hypnotized, a Fleetwood Mac tribute band, here on May 20, 2023. Just WOW! Much better than I had hoped! I posted a pic of their schdule. All are in WI now, but they are at the Kehlm Arboretum in Rockford on Sept. 10th! (Sorry, my phone has not been taking good pics or video.)

Went here for the first time on Nov 2 2022. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The opening act was a pleasant surprise, Courtney Hartman from Eau Claire WI. Soft, at times mystical. A...

The Mineral Point Opera House is an absolute must-visit destination that will captivate you from the moment you step inside. The stunning architectural restoration is nothing short of remarkable, with intricate details and thoughtful preservation that transport you to another era. Every corner of this historic venue tells a story, showcasing meticulous craftsmanship that honors its rich cultural heritage. The performance lineup is equally impressive, offering a diverse range of shows that truly have something for everyone - from intimate musical performances to vibrant theatrical productions. Whether you're a local or just passing through, the Opera House provides an extraordinary cultural experience that blends historical charm with contemporary entertainment. Absolutely beautiful inside. Loved Mousehole Cat performance! Clean, comfortable, easy to hear performers. We sat in balcony in second row. The children and I found it very difficult to see if ppl in front of you don't sit back in their chair. The smallest ones moved to chairs...

Mineral point opera house sucks! JK it's a unknown gem and I'm a little scared more people are going to find out about it and make tickets hard to come by. I guess if that happens at least it will keep this wonderful venue in operation.

This place is great! Well kept in a fantastic community. Came for Frank Martin Busch and The Names plus Driveway Thriftdwellers. First time here but definitely not our last. Loved the bands and the venue!
