I've felt for a while now that while the neighborhood certainly has a good number of small restaurants and cafes to choose from, the variety is lacking. I've found myself driving further and further away to pickup food, frustrated with the "same old" choices. My son heard about Good Times from a friend and I was totally unaware that a small pizza place now rested in the space previously occupied by Peter Pan Dry Cleaners. We decided to place an order for pickup the next day and I'm so glad we did. I love the simple menu. 10" pizzas only. Small menu with very unique specialty pizzas and a handful of topping choices to create your own pizza. One pizza is good for one hungry teenage boy or two adults. My family of 4 (we probably eat more than a typical family of 4) bought three pizzas and had a few pieces leftover. We went with the typical pepperoni pizza plus one Bacon Neubie (sp?) Very tasty! The Bacon pizza had a real spicy kick but was really good. Lots of flavor in the sauce. Just the right amount of cheese and toppings. Cooked to perfection. Ordered at 5:00 on a Saturday. Order was ready in 40 minutes. Really nice staff. Clean and quiet restaurant. Parking was no issue. Three booths and a table inside, I believe. Reasonably priced. They have house made ice cream which I'll have to try soon. Happy to have a nice unique pizza joint in the...
Read moreTo be honest the pizza was definitely not worth the price and took quite a while (upward of twenty minutes). I thought the pepperoni/pickle was so-so but the white pizza had some great thyme flavor that I love. I liked the vibe, but it was a yuppie playground. It was more like a fancy jacks pizza, $40 for two pizzas. One and done.
Update: also notice that the owner really takes the time to comment on only their bad reveiws, they seem quite petty. My Italian ancestors weep for you. Additionally I do understand the industry, I was a chef for several years, that's why I don't understand how a small 10 inch pizza takes 20-25 minutes? I also live in the neighborhood btw, we stopped in on our walk home. I fell like if a table of five people walked in it would have been overwhelming for you to handle. I think the owner should reflect on what I and others have said, it's constructive criticism, not an attack on you, but it is still funny that it gets such a rise out of you. Have a great life making your mediocre pizzas. Also changing my star rating to ones, because you seem like...
Read moreWe go there around six. Really cute place, minus the nudity(!). We order three pizzas and are given a 45 minute wait time- yes, 45 minutes. For three pizzas. Now, call me biased, but my family owns a pizza restaurant. I know for a fact it shouldnât take you that long, especially not when thereâs no more than ten customers in the whole place. Cut to 7:30â an hour and a half laterâ and we finally get our food. My pizza was decent, then I turned it over. Completely charred, along with the other two. My sister finds one slice thatâs just barely overcooked, but drops it on the floor; her fault, but still, one good piece out of three pizzas? Overall this place really needs to work on living up to its name, taking constructive criticism, and putting less salt on their food.
To quote Tyra Banks, âI wanna give you a zero. But thatâs not possible. So I...
