My husband came in for the Beef Stroganoff. We sat at the bar and I ordered the Mac and Cheese with chicken bacon ranch along with the Beef Stroganoff. . We waited quite a while for our food only for the server at the bar, Carrie, to tell us that you had run out of the beef stroganoff. Not sure how that happens at 6 pm on a Saturday night but we did understand and just laughed it off. My husband ordered the pot roast dinner instead. Carrie did offer to get my husband a different glass of wine if he wanted at no charge. He didn't want a different type of wine as he was happy with what he had. After that she just blew us off. The service went south after that. She could have given him another glass of wine that was the same or taken the glass of wine off the bill or even his meal . She also could have checked on us to see how our meals were but she never did. Totally ignored us. BTW....it was obvious that my meal had to sit and wait for his to come out. The sauce had dried up which took away from the quality. She never asked how our meals were so we didn't tell her. That was also disappointing. I was in the customer service industry for 45 yrs and know that the service and lack of respect that she gave us is not okay. The bill came and nothing was taken off of our bill. Nothing. Very disappointing. We always tip well but didn't this time. We couldn't. Why tip if she just didn't care if we were taken care of. My husband left a comment and his phone number at the bottom of the receipt. We know that if we don't hear from management it means that she tore that part off. My boyfriend and I went here for lunch. We go by it all the time and it’s always so busy. We figured it’d be good. We were so disappointed. We ordered drinks I ordered a strawberry margarita on the rocks our server (who didn’t have a name tag on or introduce herself so we don’t know who she was 🤷🏼‍♀️) without hesitation immediately said “we don’t have that” and then said they didn’t know how to make it. What bar doesn’t have strawberry margaritas? So I asked her to go ask the bartender because that’s just ridiculous! She then came back and said they didn’t have the mix. Seriously?!? You guys don’t have strawberry margarita mix on hand the Friday of Memorial Day weekend?!?!?!? Really?!?!? That just baffles me but whatever. We ordered cheese curds and the poutine whatever it’s called and the sidetrack burger with tots. He ordered his burger medium it came out burned! The tots were seasoned so heavily we couldn’t eat them. We NEVER send stuff back but this we did because it was ridiculous. So the second one came out and it wasn’t as burned but it was still well done. We asked for it to go and left the box there after trying a bite. Service was slow and not welcoming or friendly or inviting. I wouldn’t go there don’t waste your time or your money. I had been looking forward to eating here. One time earlier this year I stopped in for a Bloody Mary and checked out the menu and read good reviews. I finally made it, big work oayday afforded me a dinner out and served to me. I went on a Thursday and ordered the Philly cheesesteak. It was kinda dry, but I dipped in the au jus and really only softened the bread. So, before ordering the Philly I debated on the French onion soup and or Walleye. The fries that came with my Philly tasted like fish, maybe walleye 🎣 I really wanted prime rib but they only serve that on weekends. Watch what you wish for. Anyway, that’s why I ordered what I did, was in the mood for steak and a treat. I was a little let down. My guess is that the Philly cheese steak might be left over (dried out) prime rib from the weekend before , used for sandwiches by Thursday. And that they maybe had only one deep fryer they use for fish and fries. Even if I am wrong, that’s what it tasted like to me. I will go back and try it again because of all the other good reviews, but wouldn’t order the same again. As far as recommendations, I might not invite a friend or treat my kids till I try another time or two.
