Blue Birch — Restaurant in Minnetonka

My fiancée and I stayed at this hotel finding it to be the cleanest hotel we’ve ever staycationed at. However we decided against ordering local pizza which was our biggest regret. We were being babysit by the staff after our son grabbed a piece of trash ( a Pepsi can) out of their pond that had coy fish and ducks. We were greeted with “ thanks for that” and than after that manager came out to micromanage the situation like our son had committed a crime. He literally did something nice for the animals and than after that the food was so bland. 19 dollars for a club sandwich that was bland. 16 dollars for fish tacos appetizer that included 3 small tacos with no flavor. 10 dollar kids meal cheeseburger that tasted off and a Caesar salad that was to sweet and lettuce was far gone. We won’t be coming back to this hotel or restaurant as we were treated as not only “ poor people or unreasonable people” in a “ classy” joint but also the food was not worth the price. This place needs to do better. The only nice staff we met was the technician to fix our broken tv and the gentlemen who fed the fish and let my son help him out. Beware this place is a front just for making money off weddings and never about their average guests....

Jeez. Where to begin with this disaster. Seated ourselves at the bar at a little after 6pm on Friday 08/02. Bartender stopped by after a minute or two and asked if we wanted anything. Yes please. She wandered away to refill another customers water glass and clear some dishes. Disappeared for several long minutes. A different employee appeared and asked if we had been served. Well, no. Finally, after sitting at a bar, again Friday night, for 10 minutes, we received a drink. This was repeated throughout the night. The two bartenders were either texting or talking or entirely absent throughout our time there. None of the staff at any point welcomed, greeted, thanked or acknowledged us. If we required anything, it was necessary to summon one. The four of us in our group all found our dinners to be very good. The service, sorry to say, was the probably the worst I've ever seen. Food was good, beer was good, but absurdly over priced. Very disappointed. A nice location. A nice menu. Ruined by a horrendous experience with the service staff. Will never return and will advise...

We stopped in for brunch and service was terrible as well as the food. Someone walked by us 3 times before another person asked if we had been helped. Finally got seated and asked if they had omelets and they said yes but never asked for our order. Brought our drinks and asked who we should order omelets from and he said him. We asked if they had pancakes so he went and checked and said no. Later we asked about waffles because we have had them there before and they had to go ask and said yes. We ordered an waffle and received almost 30 minutes later. It doesn’t seem like they are thinking outside the box at all. It was just very painful to order anything. The buffet was not worth the price. Bacon was very cold and greasy you couldn’t even eat it. Don’t think we will be going back for $17 a person! Too bad because we want this place to succeed but have seen a lot of management turnover and changes...
