This was the worst pollo experience ever Where to start first the cashier was just on her phone texting and on top did not know english so to help with the language barrier i spoke to her in spanish to her so it could be easier to understand for her but she still didnt seem to understand I order kids meal grilled chicken breast strips with white rice I ask for a side of black beans I also ordered a small cesar salad I get my order Its all wrong i was given a kids meal tropichop which i specifically told her i didnt want because my kids dont like the beans mixer in And than i see a large cesar salad with grilled chicken with no dressing I never ordered that i told her small Cesar salad they said oh we don't have cesar dressing i just dealt with it i figured i would just eat it for lunch tomorrow with cesar dressing i have at home Than i ask for sauces i asked for 3 kinds salsa ,garlic cilantro ,and spicy poyo The lady only puts 2 of the ones i asked for so i ask her for the red salsa did not know she took my spicy poyo out in exchange for salsa I was about done going up to the front about 5 times I was charged for the side of beans that i never got i had to ask for the meal to be redone because my kids did not like the beans and rice mixed which i never asked for Like i dont know what was wrong with the staff that night but they were just all not all there and i was the only customer there inside and at the time the drive thru was empty just was shocked to have so many small things not be up to par Well after i got my food people started to come in from the drive thru and complain one after the other sooo i know the staff was just not on their game and none seem to care or even have a clue what is going on The manger really should speak to his staff because that many complaints back to back is unacceptable and just shows how he lacks as a leader his staff is a reflection of...
Read moreIf i could give no stars i would. as a south floridan this was my first and last time ever ordering or going to a pollo tropical. opening pulling in i noticed the drive thru was packed in both lanes almost going into the street thats the first sign. 2nd it took about 8 minutes for someone to come up front and the cashier acted like she could not hear anyone and I say anyone because she did it with me i literally pointed to the item and she still was lost. she acted dead with 2 other customers after me and being that she seemed like the only one who spoke English its a shame they have her at the front she's horrible at her job. then I had to wait another 8 minutes for someone else to take my order because I didn't have time for poor service, the next person heard me loud and clear and was very quick and helpful then when I finally get my food the employee acted like she couldn't hear as well but it was clear she was just acting because she didn't understand English. having a attitude while im trying to ask what sauces they had available and it wasnt just me the customer before me had a problem with getting sauce as well he was older so he had more patience than me clearly thankfully a couple behind me helped me out to translate and I finally got off there just to see this crap smh never again and when I left the drive through line seemed longer than when I arrived. Read moreI hate to complain but… have had 3 negative experiences here. Why do I keep coming back? Because I frequent the target next door and for some reason my son is obsessed with tropichops. My experiences:
I arrived a little more than 30 minutes before closing and they had nothing other than chicken, white rice, and black beans… not even lettuce for a salad.
The drive thru system was broken so only online orders were being taken in drive thru, had to go inside for ordering. I waited, and I am not exaggerating 30 minutes, for my food. It was a zoo in there but I realized they skipped over me because a gentleman who arrived 5 minutes before I complained received his food. And no one I recognized waiting in the dreadful line w me was still there. I complained and magically my food ticket appeared and they proceeded to make my SALAD (which should have taken 3 mins)
I order online and guess what? Today they don’t take online orders in drive thru (although they did last time and why I had to go inside). I asked if they could please make my ONE tropichop while I waited because I have my 3 kids in the car. NOPE! So in I proceeded with 3 kids in tow to pick up a meal that would have taken them 30 seconds in the drive thru
