Wah Lay Chinese Take Out Restaurant — Restaurant in Miramar

If I can give ZERO stars I would! First time here and it was a DISASTER! Ordered some Singapore Noodles by phone and specifically told the lady, “NO SHRIMP because I’m allergic”…She even read my order back to me TWICE! When I walked in the restaurant, there was such a foul stench, I should’ve followed my instinct and walk right back out. After getting my food, I went home, opened my plate and the first thing I see is SHRIMP!!! I called the restaurant back immediately and at first, the lady wanted to argue with me saying, there wasn’t any shrimp because she wrote “NO SHRIMP” on the paper. When I told her I can send photo proof, she asked that I bring the plate back. I told her that wasn’t an option because I had to get ready for work. I asked that she either issue a refund, or, since my sitter would be at my house, deliver the remade noodles to my residence since they offer delivery. She said NO she’s not doing that and put me on hold. She then had thee nerve to come back on the phone to argue that the cook said he didn’t put shrimp in the noodles and asked if I “was sure” that there was in fact shrimp on the plate. I just ended the call and called my bank....

I used to go to this restaurant about 10 years ago. At that time, I thought it was one of the best Chinese restaurants in town. Everything was really fresh, and the food was really tasty. Just recently, I started the order from them again. That was because I saw them listed on Uber Eats, and I order a lot from them. Anyhow, I was disappointed. The food is not really as good as it was years ago. The fried rice is a bit greasy, and the spareribs are sometimes really fatty. I’m talking about lunch specials here. That’s really the only thing I order from them. But that could be the reason that the food is not that great. I’m not saying it’s altogether bad. But it’s just average for me. I may continue to order from them once in a while, but it’s not going to be a regular...

Called to order a family dinner and wanted to upgrade to jumbo rice for $7.50 according to their menu and online menus. Lady on the phone told me it was $9 not $7.50. I explained to her that is not what they advertisement shows and asked kindly when did the pricing change? She was unable to answer the question. She mentioned that new pricing show on their menu in the store but I explained the me u I have came from their store how is that possible. She mentioned that she would need to talk to her mgr and wanted me to call back later instead of putting me on hold. At that point things seemed fishy and I just decided to order elsewhere.
