Casita's Taco Cocina Mexicana — Restaurant in Mission Viejo

REAL MEXICAN FOOD! This place has been the talk of the town. It’s a cute little restaurant with 7 table inside and a few outside. It’s a sit down restaurant where your order is taken and food is brought to you. We also saw plenty of people who ordered to go. They have great Spanish music playing, and the employees are so kind.

Where this place shines is the FOOD AND DRINK! We were between a few aguas frescas, and they offered us samples. Honestly, they were all FANTASTIC and we ordered two. The food is all so fresh and delicious. Homemade tortillas, juicy carnitas, and the best thing was the beans and rice tasted just like my Latin Mother-in-Law’s. My husband enjoyed his burrito with carnitas - it was well balanced and tasty (not oily thank goodness).

We’ve been searching for a yummy and quality Mexican food place for so long. We’ve tried the local spots, they don’t stand anywhere close to the quality and flavor of this place. We cannot wait to continue coming here for...

It’s such a cute little place! And with Mission Viejo - at least for my experience - I haven’t found any good Mexican food…. UNTIL TODAY! Oh my god. They had heavenly salsas. This delicious roasted garlic jalapeño dip! And then…. For a special they had Mole which my friend got (corner of this picture) and let me say… it was SO good. Then their Esquite was so yummy alongside that!

The only downside I have to argue for is they are stingy with the chips! But whenever we asked they were happy to refill! Overall it was a great place! Cozy...
