As Mexican food goes, this place is fantastic. I have yet to order something that doesn't thrill me. It's all very, very fresh and high quality ingredients that taste fantastic. Relatively recently they "upgraded" the menu to include more organic items, which I always appreciate!
From my perspective as a mom, the kid's menu items are equally great! At most restaurants, I am usually disappointed by the kid's menu - it's all super salty, super greasy, generic rubbish. Here, kids can actually eat real food (although I do wish the kid's portion sizes were a bit smaller - they feel wasteful for most kids, and mine are nig eaters!). The chicken fingers are gorgeous, and I've never before said that about chicken fingers!
Sometimes the wait is long, but it's always worth it. If the churro machine isn't broken, GET THE CHURROS (and don't forget the chocolate sauce). They'll...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI normally go to their Ladera Ranch location which is awesome but was in the area so went to Mission Viejo location. I had to wait in line for 15 minutes and then food took 45 minutes to come out. I watched as three people who ordered after me got their food and left. When I complained to a manager I was told āYou should go to the Ladera Ranch location next timeā. No apologies, no refund, no nothing (except heartburn an unhappy family left waiting so long for āfast foodā). When I called the same week to complain to the owner, Adrian (I believe that was his name) took my information down and no one ever followed up with me. We have been loyal customers to this chain for well over 10 years and frankly feel unimportant and extremely disappointed. Iām telling everyone I know who enjoys this restaurant to avoid this location. I hope someone higher up reads this and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis is the definition of a taco start-up that hit a couple of notes wrong. However I must saw that, despite this review, they're making tacos where there isn't another taco place for miles. Respect.
First the food. The tacos were good, not great. It was their discount night so the taco shells were stale and crusty, as if they had delivery once a week and delivery day was tomorrow. Other ingredients were just thrown together. The restaurant was an attempt at a cantina look, but it was poorly decorated and just awkward. It was two person tables backed up against every wall. only a few tables and those scattered in weird places through the room. The staff here is friendly and respectable. Drinks are in good supply (they also have a happy hour) and it is your usual lineup of mexican beers and other staples.
