Holy Moly Doughnuts — Restaurant in Mission

Can you say G.O.A.T. It's still the best donut in the universe. Their dough is an original from the past. Before machines took over. I can only guess how long they've been doing this for. I imagine it's been quite a while. The owners are there every night to prep the dough and cook the donuts every morning by hand. Try the glazed and the cinnamon twists. Those are my favorites. But maybe it's the specialty blueberry cake Donuts on Saturday mornings. You can also call in and leave a message on their answering machine if you have a larger order. They will be ready by the time you get there. So, with that being said, if you don't get there by 9 in the morning. Don't bother heading down they will be sold out. I usually show up around 6:30 am. It's worth a visit to try them. I'll have to add photos of the donuts later. I keep forgetting to take a picture before I eat them all. After second thought, I've changed my mind. I think my favorite is the chocolate long johns.

First I want to start off by saying this place has great donuts, they are my favorite and if I can get up in time to get some I do. Also the price is great.

Something I think people need know is an older couple run the whole operation, the husband primary makes the donuts while the wife assists and runs the register. They have a high demand and they run out fast, and because of that people have started calling in to place orders which gets overwhelming for them so sometimes they disconnect the phone. They sleep a short time during the day then get up in the afternoon. All evening into the morning they make donuts for opening (for call in orders and walk ins).

Like I said I do my best to get there early to get what I want but if they don’t have it or they are closed I don’t get upset. I know how hard they work. Worst case scenario, a Lamar donut shop is literally...

I truly do not care for Doughnuts. However... Fluffy Fresh is in a category of its own. There is not one trip I take to the KC metro where I don't pay my respects once. Round Rock Doughnuts in Austin TX may literally be the only place I could put up against Fluffy.

The owner makes these doughnuts BY HAND daily. You have to get there at 5:30AM, and usually by 7AM, hes done for the day and sold out. This is truly a Small-Batch product. And All you need to know is that the Glazed and Cinnamon Twist are all you need to know.

If you are blessed to have them hot out of the fryer, you will experience a level of food nirvana that lacks words to describe. In a world where Social Media leaves nothing un-discovered, I am forever floored that this place continues to fly under the radar.
