This was one of the worst experiences I've ever had at a fast food place. My partner and I went around midday and walked inside to order. We ordered a steak strips basket, a burger, cheese sticks, and we each got drinks and ice cream. The manager took our order as it looked like he was training a new employee. The whole time he seemed annoyed and rushed. They made the drinks for us, and right away they were almost flat. While we waited for our food, we went to sit down, but all the tables and even the chairs were dirty, and there were bugs everywhere. We could see into the kitchen and watched as employees, including the manager, were throwing food into a microwave. When we finally got our food, every single thing was wrong. The steak fingers were half under-cooked and greyish, and half over-cooked and crunchy. They also came with the wrong sauce. The burger didn't have cheese and you could tell it had been microwaved. The cheese sticks were empty, no cheese, just the outer casing. When we asked for these issues to be fixed, the staff was nice, but the manager was again annoyed. We waited for a good 15 minutes after our food was brought back to ask when our ice cream would be ready. They must've forgotten about it because the manager seemed surprised. We got our ice cream and left, but ended up throwing it away, because it tasted like nearly sour milk, and wasn't even what we had ordered.
I have worked in fast food for years, as both regular staff and management. I understand that mistakes happen and it can be hard to keep up especially when you are short staffed. But this was just ridiculous. This experience was horrible, unacceptable, and fully the responsibility of management, both for how we were treated and for the condition of the store in general. When we got home and checked our bag, it was discovered that we wasn't given the correct food. We made a call to the store and spoke to Tony the store manager and explained to him that we didn't receive the correct order. He was very rude and argumentative! He then stated "you GOT this on your order" and we said but that is not what we ordered. He said to bring the food back and he can give us the right order (which was an inconvenience) and never once did he apologize for messing up the order. He also said it would cost more money for the correct order. I told him we don't mind paying for what we get, but we just didn't get what we asked for because it was rang up inaccurately. Since I we had to come back to the restaurant using my time and gas, I asked him was he going to compensate or make this mistake right and he said NO in a rude manner! I felt as a manager, this was unacceptable because as a paying customer I shouldn't have to take an extra 25 minutes to drive back and Tony the Manager didn't want to at least discount something for my troubles. I asked for the number to his corporate office and he said he don't know it and hung up the phone!! I was totally astonished how he treated us and couldn't believe his representation of the company. The last 2 times there was a Hispanic young lady that took my order at the drive thru. Seemed to have an attitude when I placed my order...when I received it I did not check because I was late for an appt. My hamburger had nothing but mayo/mustard and cheese.No lettuce,tomato,pickles...nothing !! Didn't have time to come back to argue. Strike 1 !! This past Tuesday I had an elderly woman with me that I help run her errands. I ordered 2 #8 with med. Root Beers and 2 small fries. When I got ready to pay I should have checked the order because when I was taking my elderly lady home there was only 1 order of tacos and I had to ask about the other drink. I don't know if she has a problem with me or just language in general...but this is the 2nd time with her !! Next time I will come...
