Hate to say this but... This place is SLIGHTLY overhyped
That said I will start with the positives
Long wait times-not as long as they tell you. So if they say 45 mins it will probably be 20
Service- the servers are fantastic. They run their asses off and still the service is impeccable. I THINK my server was Amy (my bad) she was AWESOME
Breads- OMG they are great. Esp the biscuits. They are made perfect for gravy (sadly I will address the gravy in the negatives).
Omelettes- Holy crap they are huge. They do not short you on the add-ons and they cook the eggs perfect so it's not all gooey and slimy
Price- very reasonable
Serving sizes- MORE than reasonable... You will need a takeout box
Okay now the negatives
Hashbrowns- Undercooked. Soggy and coated with butter (and I say this loving butter) but they are borderline inedible (look at the photos and you will see this). Just fry them a little longer PLEASE
Gravy- I LOVE gravy but this stuff was so generic I felt bad for the fantastic biscuits. I don't know if y'all make it from scratch or a packet.....but brown it a lil longer before you add the milk. You are in the south so you should know this
Paying for your meal- Holy crap this might just take as long as the wait and the entire dinner combined. Lol not really but there is a very good chance you will stand in line for 20 mins just to pay!
I will go back. Looking forward to trying a burger
As for breakfast I will just go for the omelettes and breads next time. I did not try the cinammon roll but it...
Read moreAfter eating here a couple of times and loving their breakfast food and friendliness, my husband and I dropped in on a chilly, busy morning, gave our phone number to the young lady who took our name, and she invited us to wait in our truck to stay warm during the 45 min wait. After 45 minutes passed and no text, we double checked with the young lady inside and she informed us she already texted and we didn’t come in so she gave our table away. My husband asked her to read the number back since we didn’t get anything and the young woman read the number back and had written one number wrong. My husband asked if we could get the next table since we had waited and it was just a mistake and she said “no, you’ll have to go back on the list and wait.” My husband asked, “But we did wait and you just texted the wrong number, we should get the next table, right?” Another employee of the restaurant was in earshot of our conversation and did not intervene. “No, you’ll have to wait again” was the young lady’s response. I used to send my friends and family here but we have completely stopped visiting and have no plans to ever go back. It was not the hospitality we love about Branson, and we were sorely disappointed in the lack of mentorship and training the young woman at the counter was being given, and lack of leadership in the team overhearing the issue who also did not...
Read moreThe Hungry Hunter was a recommendation from a server at another restaurant. When someone in the food industry provides such a recommendation, one tends to listen. So we came for breakfast - and left so completely satisfied in every respect that we will absolutely be back when we come again to Branson. The service was incredible. We watched and marveled at the staff and how they were all constantly moving and working like a well-oiled machine. We were especially impressed that after each use of the condiments that they wiped them down and refilled them. That may sound like a small thing but when you know you will be getting a wiped down, non-sticky thing of syrup, that makes a difference As for the food, the words to describe it are ample and flavorful. Everything was really good and the portions? Let's just we took a lot home! Bring your appetite for sure! I had the chicken fried steak - perfect portion of gravy on top. None was left over. And cooked to perfection One thing to not if you choose to come - it's a smaller, intimate place. Be prepared to wait for up to an hour on the weekends, but the wait is absolutely worth it. Fair warning Thank you Hungry Hunter for treating us so we'll and giving us the perfect...
