Upstream Fish Company — Restaurant in Missouri

Fish is my comfort food. I’ve heard of UpStream before and seen many of their posts on social media but this (August 10th 2022) was my first time visiting. So many of my friends have raved about this place. It was a little far from my house but finally decided to make the drive.

The gentleman (Aaron) that greeted us was knowledgeable on all of the products, future shipment dates and so much more. I probably asked way more questions than I needed to but I’m trying to learn more about safe fish options since I eat it so often. Aaron knew everything from nutrition info down to where they came from.

Not only do they have a great selection of fresh catch foods, they have so many to-go options for lunches and dinners. Our friends did a crab boil for us one night and it was the best quality I’ve ever had. I’ve heard so many people get foods from their smoker too. We grabbed a king crab dip while we were there and I’d be lying if I said we didn’t finish it in one night. It was sooooo good.

Even if you’re not into fish, check this place out and their many many food options. You’ll thank me later.

Finally!! After drooling over the pics & reviews for weeks, l was finally able to make it over to Greenview. It was everything l dreamed of. Thank you, Google Map reviewers! The young guy at the register was genuinely friendly and professional. The owner even stopped to ask how our meal was. It's a clean little shop, and while we were in there, the customers never stopped coming. We ordered a lobster roll, shrimp po'boy, and fried calamari appetizer. My lobster roll was very good, plenty of delicious lobster but a little on the dry side. I would prefer more of the traditional lobster dressing mixed in w/the lobster, but that's personal preference. My husband ate Every. Single. Bite. of his po'boy. Lots of delicious shrimp and both sandwiches served on th traditional crusty, lightly grilled bread rolls. The fried calamari was deep fried in a super crunchy batter and served w/q side of remoulade sauce. Only 2 tall tables w stools, so if they're full, plan on eating in your car. Awesome place! My husband and I each enjoyed the lobster bisque and split the Maine lobster roll. We ate at the simple, tall bistro set and watched people come in and out for fresh and frozen seafood and fresh cooked meals. I had wanted to try the seafood gumbo, but it was early in the day, and it wasn't quite ready. People arrived to pick up preordered items, fresh or frozen seafood, or like us, just to enjoy a great meal. There are plenty of spice options for purchase to prepare your seafood at home.
