The Paradigm Concepts — Restaurant in Mitchell

My wife and I went for a date night to try someplace new, and to say we enjoyed ourselves is an understatement. We were absolutely blown away by our experience at The Paradigm Concepts. We didn't think that we could get such skillfully crafted food in Mitchell, Nebraska. Derek, the chef, is clearly passionate about his ingredients as well as his craft. It appears that everything is made in house, and everything that can be sourced locally, is. We opted to order off of the a-la-carte menu. Most of the flavors throughout the meal were subtle, but very well balanced. Our favorite part of the meal was the beef entree. It was beef cheeks that had been smoked, and finished in a sous vide. The cheek was served over pasta, which was cooked absolutely perfectly (and also made in house.) The flavors in the dish were fabulous and complimented each other perfectly! We finished the meal with a chocolate torte that was decadent, creamy, and incredibly flavorful. We loved our meal so much, we made reservations to go to brunch two days later. It was equally as delicious. This is without question, the most skillfully crafted, well-thought out food in the area. We absolutely can't wait to go back and work our way...

Our party of three enjoyed an excellent meal, prepared by owner and chef Derek, and graciously served by Cassidy co-owner. Aside from every aspect of every course being prepared with top quality, fresh & locally-sourced ingredients by Chef, each component was quite innovative with new flavors & combinations of accompanying dishes. Two of our party had lamb as the main course served on top of homemade butternut squash ravioli! I had the beef tenderloin atop mashed potatoes with roasted golden beets! Starters & desserts equally rated 5 stars! I have to say my starter salad had a fantastic dressing, but the fresh lettuce & tomatoes actually had a remarkable taste! Cannot beat fresh!

Honestly, this was a meal on par with some of the best meals my husband & I have enjoyed in cities all over the world! Imagine that, in a warm country-style atmosphere in Mitchell, NE!
