Banh Mi Cafe — Restaurant in Mobile

Not sure how I found about Banh Mi Cafe. All I know is that I went in one day because I couldn’t decide where I wanted to go and I thought about this place. When I walked in I noticed how nice the inside of the restaurant was. It had the feeling of old timey diner like ones you see on old tv shows. Anyway I had no clue what to order but the person at the counter told me about the roasted pork sandwich. I was so hungry that he could’ve told me about anything and I would’ve ordered that. I did order the roasted pork sandwich and it didn’t take long to get ready. I was on my lunch break so I took my sandwich to go. Like I said earlier I was very hungry. I bit into the sandwich and I was very pleased with it. The bread was really delicious and the pork was cooked and seasoned well. I don’t really have any complaints with the experience. I would say because I was very hungry I wish chips or a small side came with it. But...

Pretty great bahn mi's! The bread is delicious, fairly soft but has a small crunch on the outside. The meat is pretty great and the veggies that come with each bahn mi tasted pretty fresh. I wish they put pate on each bahn mi, rather than only some of them, as I think the Grilled Beef/Chicken/Pork could go to the next level with pate and maybe 1 more vegetable.

I hope they can keep their ingredients in stock, as I always had trouble getting bahn mi's from Pot of Pho (the next door restaurant, owned by the same people I think). The bahn mi's here are $1-2 more than at Pot of Pho, and are pretty similar despite the bread in my opinion, so I hope them charging slightly more can allow them to keep their...

So glad I gave this spot a try after seeing their tiktok. I immediately could tell that their bread was fresh and made in-house. Very cozy and perfect for a morning coffee. They were so nice and the service was fast. The grilled pork Banh Mi was very juicy and the Classic Banh Mi was so fresh. They even have fresh sugarcane juice which I will try next time for sure.
