Waffle House — Restaurant in Mobile

Showed up here for breakfast expecting to have a sit down and was told that dining in isn’t till 6am.

I walk out to place my order at the “ window “ and patiently waiting for them to take me order. Apparently they can only do one order at a time. Another customer said that every other morning she placed the same order online and ever morning it’s never ready when she arrives. Night shift is rude and disrespectful towards customers.

I walked over to the door to observe my food being prepared. The cook grabs the cooking utensils for the grill off the counter. I don’t know how clean that place is or when the last time it was sanitized. I made my concern to the waiter and stated it very concerning and demanded that he clean the utensil and lay down new strips of bacon on the grill.

The waiter seemed to be frustrated that I express my concern and how I expect the food to be prepared. Also I ordered a bacon lovers bacon and they didn’t add the correct amount of bacon. Every Waffle House I’ve been too always added 4-5 strips of bacon to the bacon lovers bacon and I asked the waiter to see the itemized receipt and dared to ask “ why? “

I stated as a customer I have the right to see how I placed my order and how you wrote it down. He refused. Told him I would make a complaint to corporate and the kid said “ have a good day buddy “ I turned around and stated “ you must think you big and bad to make a comment like that towards me? This is the most pathetic store and poor service I have ever been to with a Waffle House. Corp will receive a call from me first thing.

Also they charge you $1.50 for take out when there isn’t any other option. Charging customers $1.5 when dine in isn’t allowed till 6am should be removed. Believe this is wrong on so many levels and stealing from customers who prefer to dine in versus take out and charge them a “ take out fee of $1.5 “ is stealing. Very piss poor restaurant

Side note the manager called me this morning after I made the initial connection. She is rude disrespectful and highly unprofessional. I told her one thing and she comes back and makes another statement siding with her employee when the employee told me what I ordered and acted as if I was lying about what I ordered. She refused to hear my side of my experience. This store manager is very rude. She doesn’t deserve her position.

Btw. I never please good reviews to any location. I feel if the store can sell itself, why do I need to leave a positive review? Only call out ones I experience bad or...

On 6-2-17 I Called 3 times around 10pm to place a small call in order for my grandmother. I never got an answer so I just drove up there to order. I sat down at 10:30pm and was asked if I had a call in order, I kind of laughed and nicely stated I called but never got an answer and she said it would be just a moment. There was roughly 4-5 tables and a couple people at the high bar so not too busy at all considering there were 3 waitresses and 2 cooks. I sat there until 10:50 or 20mins without being able to place an order. At this point I watched someone walk in and immediately get their to go order taken . This didn't make me too happy so I decided to just leave. Im not blaming this on the entire staff as they seemed to be doing their jobs just fine. But the dumb heffer stationed at the low bar and taking call in orders needs to be re-evaluated. She wouldn't last 30mins on the morning shift. First off I thought this was going to be the one that finally gets the 5 star review. Walked in just after 6 am. Nobody else around and the staff were ready to serve. In fact it looked as if they had just finished mopping as some chairs had blocked off part of the restaurant.

It's WH, so I didn't even need a menu. I quickly ordered and headed to the bathroom. Definitely an upgrade from what I was expecting. I was thinking this is the one...until I went to use the sink. It looked as if someone had shaved their public hair and just left it in the sink, pretty disgusting.

Anyway, was quickly served my food and the service was prompt and polite. No issues there. Although, considering the lack of customers and what had initially thought of them having finished cleaning was not the case. There was dirty rags on the floor in a couple of places and other noticeable items.

So all I'm all just on par and nothing above the rest. I'll be back though and give it...
