El Cazador Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Modesto

Food is good. Drinks are good and pretty reasonable. Service on the other hand, horrible! My mom loves this place and always wants to eat here when we take her out for occasions. Went for other's day and needed a few more chairs. Party was 2 people more than expected. They had an empty table next to us and took 15 minutes to clean it and only did it when I asked for a towel to do it myself. While there were 2 hostesses standing around When we asked them to move the table next to ours we were told in a minute so we moved it ourselves. Food: my friend ordered fajitas and they never brought the tortillas for her and at the end of her meal when they did it was corn not flour like she asked. I ordered my toddler the meat and cheese tacos. Tacos came with no cheese. 2 of us ordered mocajete (steak and chicken) (steak and pork). The first one came with no chicken and when I finally got the waitress attention 15 minutes later to tell her she brought me cold rubbery chicken. The 2nd one came as steak and shrimp not pork. Then they took it and forgot to being it back so my son didn't get it till everyone was done eating. Their form of compensation was 20% off when IMO they should've taken the 2nd one off the bill considering they forgot it. Their service just sucks but I know that going there and I go for someone else, not my first choice. She doesn't pay attention to service like I do. They added an automatic gratuity (party of 12 w/ separate checks) which is a good thing for them because I wasn't tipping and I'm usually a very generous tipper. I use to come here alot and loved it, and told alot of people about it, had alot of birthdays and than all of sudden you get some horrible waitresses! There is only a couple of them are great! Theres two there that they kinda look alike dont know if they are realted but are horrible have no manners at all! The one I remember her name is nicole she is HORRIBLE!!! First time I had her was so bad didnt leave her a tip, ( I am a very generous tipper because I use to be a waitress so I know) than I came back and had her again thought maybe she had a bad day the first time but nope she must have one all the time. Than I came back a 3rd time walked in and seen her and walked out. So I decided to let you know because I really enjoyed going there and its horrible to feel like that to the point to walk out. Its bad for your buisness and I figured if you dont know about it than how can you fix it. I really dont like to complain but...

I got the pork chops. Not very good, and somehow dry even though they were smothered.

Service was rough, and the server kept my card and just left it out in the open (after already running it for payment) and just walked off and started taking orders and running food. I waited about 5 minutes and then just walked up and snatched it. No one noticed or said anything.

I could have easily stolen the card due to lack of common sense. If I'm handing you my card, which I hate by the way and you are walking away with it, please do the right thing and guard it and bring it directly back to me. Not just haphazardly leaving it out for all to see.
