June Bug's — Restaurant in Modesto

Second time at this place and continue to be disappointed. The bar tender Kayla was so high she could not get the drink orders right and lacked customer service skills. Kayla would come back to the bar from smoking smelling like pot and it was obvious she was in no condition to be working. Kayla spent too much time on the phone neglecting customers (At an almost empty bar!) When she was not on the phone, it was obvious her preference was a small group at the other side of the bar. Most concerning, Kayla was so high she was not able to manage the cash register. She was not able provide the right change for a $20 when we asked her to break it to play music. She was over charging one of my friends and not enough to another. Kayla was not even able to give the right change after we closed out. If I was the owner, I would be very concerned. Would not...

Third time I have been to this bar. I love that they open at 6AM-2AM. You know I have to mention as I always do when I visit a bar or restaurant...They absolutely serve my favorite PEANUT BUTTER SCREWBALL!! The morning girl is so sweet and very attentive to her customers. She takes time to get to know you. She pays attention and is ready when you need a refill. The two times I've seen her she was cleaning while she wasn't busy. The bar looks older but is cozy, comfortable and clean. Great music on the Touch Tunes jukebox! They have pool tables and a cozy bed for a sweet dog who belongs to a regular. I highly recommend at least in the early morning. I usually get there about 7:30 am. Good morning crowd. Beware if you go to this place. They have a so called security guy there named Daniel that checks your ID before entering. He is just in regular clothes but cares a firearm on him. I was parked next door not even on the bar property when he approached me pulling his firearm out and asking me to get out of my car. At that moment I was in fear for my life and what’s this guy in normal street clothing going to do to me. Be careful of this guy he may hurt you.
