Oishi Teri Sushi Bar — Restaurant in Modesto

I would say this is a good 3 especially when you factor in price and the choices of sushi rolls available. To be honest, what I really wanted was a pretty "standard" eel/unagi roll but the only two rolls I saw that included eel were one marked as very spicy and including fried oysters which I don't particularly care for and a roll that is marked as spicy and including jalapenos which is just very odd to be honest. The overall prices seemed way too high compared to their competition in this city alone. I wound up buying three of their more simple and inexpensive rolls, the spider roll, shrimp tempura roll, and the shooting star to share with my partner. These rolls were all pretty fine, nothing explicitly wrong with them, but we just felt that we enjoyed the rolls at other places more and more the same or even less money.

This was the worst service that I have had in ages. The waiter needed me to repeat my order multiple times, I asked for no ice, never got that no offer to change out. Ask for tea and sauce waited forever and had to ask again. The trailer spilt and I used my napkins to clean it up and the guys was like do you want more napkins, guess what never brought them back. I had to take some form another table. I got up to use the restroom and asked for a togo box and the pay device was there. I had to asked for help to get it to the screen to pay. The guy fixed it and walked away, no that you, have a good day noghting. While waiting 10 mins for someone to help fix the machine, I could have walked out and know one would have known. It was as if I was not even there. I would understand if it was busy but there was only two other tables. Food, honestly had minimal flavor. Totally disappointed as There are not many good places to eat where I lived and I was excited for a good sushi bar/Japanese Steakhouse. So...

Compare with other restaurants, their prices are higher but food is worse than others. I used to love this restaurant a lot and I did recommend it for my friends. Last month, my friend ordered sushi rolls and hand rolls; all of them are salty and soaked in too much sauce. I just thought that the restaurant just made mistakes on that day. But no, yesterday my brother and I went there and eat sashimi&nigiri and chirashi don. The rice is so cold and feel like old one. I paid ~$20 for it, but I just got only 7 thin slices of sashimi. My brother got the sashimi and nigiri $21, but the slices are too thin. Compared with the last time I came, the food was so bad.
