This place was a 5 star straight from the gate as you walk in your greeted by a person who will show you to your seat. If you have kids they will put you and a square corner that holds about 4 small tables for you to tend to your kids so their not in everyone’s way. This corner has a tv in it for your liking. The place was dim all over. Not to bright in there. We went for dinner I believe and it was around 3 pm. After being seated we were given water and our ordering materials. I ordered a blue bottle of sake. The Sakè did not come hot like I’m use to. It was cold. So that was a weird one for me. The edamame was on point. Tasted like it was tossed in some Alfredo cheese sauce. Never had anything like it before. We had ordered appetizers, which was fried calamari with a white sauce.and lemons. Shortly later our rolls came. We ordered 3 rolls. Forgot what rolls we ordered. Hands down these rolls are no joke. Packer with multi flavors that hit you all at once. Between 2 people we had a little bit of leftovers. Definitely left this place full. The food was amazing, the atmosphere was great I would definitely come back here. This place is a bit pricey, but it will definitely have you wanting to come back. We spent about $130 for all the items that were mentioned. They do have a fully loaded bar that has all the best tequilas, and many more. I wish I took more pictures. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 …as for parking. We went on a weekday so there was a lot of spaces open. Definitely none in front of the business.

During my recent visit to Raw Sushi, my culinary adventure centered around the teriyaki salmon dinner. An impromptu decision led me to request the dish "light on the teriyaki sauce" after placing my order. Regrettably, the waitress explained that the kitchen had already finalized the preparation, making alterations impossible. While I empathized with this constraint and acknowledged my belated specification, it left me pondering the adaptability of their kitchen to customer preferences. In an effort to tailor my dining experience, I opted to replace the included salad with rice and vegetables. However, the actual execution of this customization left much to be desired. Upon the arrival of my meal, the cold salad found itself placed haphazardly on the hot plate, sharing space with the seemingly teriyaki-less salmon. To compound matters, the hot vegetables were served on a separate side plate, creating an unusual and disjointed presentation. This arrangement not only compromised the temperature balance but also raised questions about the coherence of their culinary presentation. Adding to my disappointment, the salmon, devoid of the anticipated teriyaki glaze, appeared disappointingly dry. The absence of the intended flavors left the dish lacking the vibrancy and succulence that one would expect from a teriyaki salmon dinner. Moreover, the overall taste profile of the meal was marred by blandness, rendering the experience unflattering. This combination of a lackluster teriyaki salmon and uninspiring flavors further accentuated the disconnect in Raw Sushi's culinary execution, leaving me with a lingering sense of dissatisfaction. In retrospect, my dining experience at Raw Sushi fell short of expectations, with the dry and flavorless teriyaki salmon serving as a focal point of disappointment. The disjointed presentation and lackluster taste profile raised questions about the kitchen's attention to detail and flavor harmony. While the ambiance was pleasant, the culinary aspects of my visit left me contemplating the overall consistency of Raw Sushi's dining offerings.

We walked in and the place looked packed, with no reservation we thought we were out of luck, but the place is bigger than I thought and we were seated right away. Raw Sushi is a great place for sushi and hot entrees. We loved everything we had and will be back. The service was just wonderful. Our server was so kind and spent time explaining the menu to us. We wanted to try quite a few things and did. Our food was brought pretty fast, but we were never rushed. All of it was grand. The place is so cute and super clean. They take really good care of it. We parked on the street with no problem. We had the Nigira and Roll combination and it was super. It had 5 pieces and we had a great California roll with it. We also had fried oyster and loved that as well. All so very fresh. We tried several of their house rolls; BTS, salmon and tuna steak and found them super yummy. The snow crab California rolls were among our favorite ones. You get a decent amount of crab. We also had entrees of sesame chicken and grilled salmon. Now, these were the best of the night for us. The salmon was perfect as was the chicken. The prices are fair for all you get and we just really had a great time.

My honest opinion: "Americanized and over-priced sushi". We came as a large group of 7 during lunch and had to squeeze in the corner booth. This place seems to be popular amongst the downtown lunch crowd. Some of the better options were: *Dante's Inferno Roll (I honestly cannot remember what was in or on top of the roll. I did liked the fried jelepano element, but it was no longer crunchy when I ate the roll), which I remembered to have a significant amount of rice and very salty. *Salmon Teriyaki - As my coworker puts it best: "I paid $23 (including tax and tips) for mostly rice". To be fair, the salmon was tasty and came with a side of onion and mushroom sauce, just small in portion. Since we were a table of more than 6, we were automatically charged 18% service, though we didn't get much service. Overall, I'd recommend if the company or someone else is paying for the meal when you are in the mood for sushi.

This is got to be the best sushi bar in Modesto. The staff is so friendly and attentive. 1st time here for me and my disabled wife and we were treated like family. It takes a lot for her to go out and prepare herself to be in public. Multiple Sclerosis is a terrible disease that causes severe fatigue, stress, depression and many other ailments that prevent her from going out often. Raw Sushi Bistro is now her favorite place. You have to try the garlic edamame and all the flavorful rolls. Thank you Marcus, "3rd frm right rear" Manager Brandy "not pic"and all the other staff we met on our first night there to celebrate Sammy D birthday "lft rear"with Lady T "lower center'. Thank you Raw Sushi Bistro for making our special night so awesome.

Enjoyed a delicious dinner with family last night. The food was so delicious. Beyond my expectations. Edamame is a must! Beef wrapped asparagus was so good. I ordered the Dante’s inferno roll it was delicious and packed with flavor and the prefect amount of heat! My husband had the BTS roll and it was also delicious The Bee’s margarita was amazing. Only down fall was the wait. We were told 50 mins and it was 1.5 hours. It appeared they were seating tables who there after us and were “know” that was annoying. But the food made up for it.
