Phoenix Noodle House — Restaurant in Modesto

I came here for the first time on a Friday after work. I felt a lil cold coming on in my throat. So I decided to get some Pho to rejuvenate my body & intake some nutrients. It is a comfortable cozy felling restaurant, with very friendly beautiful waittresses. I ordered a large #25 with reg. noodles & added vegetables. Man was it a big bowl of soup, I didn't think I could finish it. It came with a side dish with more veggies, so I put that in also. With a healthy dose of the chili that is on the table. Every slurp was delicious & satisfieing. The shrimp was well cleaned, vegetables where crunchy, noodles were fresh. It was an all around great dish. While visiting Modesto we were looking for a good place for pho.. thankfully we found this little place. The place is small and can be to crowded which is the only downside. They do have a upstairs area to eat as well in case downstairs is to full. Prices are very good actually and quantity of the pho is very big! We ordered 2 large pho and it fed all 6 of us including a toddler and we were over full! Now that’s what I’m talking about!! I love to be overfull with some good pho! The pho was pretty good, had great flavor!!! If anyone is looking for a large and I mean large portion of pho that is cheap ($10) and delicious then definitely come here!! Service was quick and waitresses were extremely friendly!! All around 5 stars for me!! Definitely will be coming back when visiting Modesto...

I love pho and have had opportunities to try a lot of restaurants. I just moved back to CA, and I had a favorite place before moving, so my expectations are high. I knew moving back would be a struggle to find a good place with flavorful broth. The atmosphere here is nice, its on a main street but pretty quiet inside. They have good bowl sizes and have pretty decent prices. I got beef pho with a milk tea, and my boyfriend got the combination pho with a Taro drink. The drinks were good, the pho looked good, but the flavor of the broth was mediocre. It wasn't great, but it wasn't bad. I've definitely had better, and I've had worse. I tried this place based on reviews, and I'm pretty bummed I can't find a good pho place...
