One thing small towns have over the city is these blink-and-you'll-miss-them food destinations, serving up the best of their craft. The Lumberjack is no exception! The burger I had was juicy, meaty, perfectly cooked, and overall just a simple, yet elegant sandwich that delivered all the notes I was looking for.
The crispy, yet fluffy steak fries came through, although I felt they were a tad bit overseasoned. The only complaint I had is that, even tho it was after 11am, there was no seating area available, as the Lumberjack is now a part of a food truck station that serves the hungry patrons of the Molalla River Brewing Company, which didn't open until later.
While this may discourage someone looking for atmosphere, as Molalla resident, I simply brought the food home and enjoyed it from the comfort of my own dining table. I will be back for the full experience, but in the meantime, maybe the MRBC can do more to ensure patrons of the carts can enjoy a meal outside without having to wait for the taproom...
Read moreSlowest service ive ever received, but they were busy so i was understanding and let that one go. The made my order incorectly (put pickles on my burger) which may sound small but cant stand even the feintest taste of it, also forgot to include their marinara for my mozzarella sticks. I live aprox 20 mins away and called them there response was to pick the pickles off and sorry told them that i can not and it was going in the trash as i wont touch it (gross) asked how they were going to remedy it and she was stuck on just picking it off. I replied with most people will take a name for later and that i could be back in the next day or so. After talking longer about the pickles she agreed but required me to hang on to the uneaten burger as proof when i returned. I let them know that i will not hang on to a day old to maybe even three by the time i would return for a second chance and she argued with me for sometime about this and the pickles still before i told them to just keep it and i will...
Read moreWow what an awesome experience! Wife and I stopped by for our first visit at lunch on Saturday. I read reviews online about the layout and folks making that their issue. So I put that aside. Once I figured out what and why they are situated like they are it all made sense. You can sit inside or outside the first building it's more a restaurant with inside outside seating. Next building is the bar and outside seating. You can order food and or drinks at either location. I think you can even order from the food truck. Burger prices were very reasonable and each ingredient was perfect. I had lumberjack burger. Curly fries were fresh tasty and hot. Oils didn't taste all used up was fresh. Beer selection is very current of the trending flavors and styles. Lovely outside seating area with picnic, volleyball and other games in an "Oregon garden" type setting. We will be back! Our waitress Leonida was extremely attentive and cheerful. My wife loved it and was very happy with...
