So.....I was at Rudy's Tacos in Moline and the behavior of the OWNER, yes the OWNER was atrocious!!! My bill was $27.13. I gave the waiter my debit card and when he came back to my table, he said that he was sorry and asked me to sign a voided slip that was for $46.38. He explained he accidentally ran my card for another bill. As you can see in the pictures, the receipt said voided. So, I thought, ok. Then I quickly checked my bank, and as you can see, there is a pending charge of $46.38 from Rudy's on my account. So, as I was leaving, I walked up to see the manager, who had nearly his entire staff around him, and explained that my card was charged twice. He said, "Yes, I know. It was a mistake and we voided it out." I agreed that it was a mistake but then I said, that my account was already debited. He said, "Yep, it should take about 3 days before it is returned." Mind you, he DIDN'T say, "I'm extremely sorry for the error" or "We will make it right." He said, "Yep." I then said, "I won't have access to my money for 3 days?" He shrugged his shoulders and said, "Yep". I then replied "Wow! ok then I won't be returning." As I was turning around to leave, the manager then said, "Don't say that you aren't returning over a MISTAKE! IT WAS A MISTAKE!" By the way he was in no way apologetic or kind. He was quite angry that I had the audacity to complain about $46.38 not being accessible by me from my own account. I then turned around and said to the gentleman, "You understand It was a $46.38 mistake and I don't have my money." He said, "I don't have your money either! It's somewhere in the cloud somewhere" implying it was not his fault that this had happened and that it was my fault because I bank with the bank that I do. Then he said, "Fine! Don't come back then!" I am appalled!! I looked at him in complete amazement! How a business owner who mistakenly charged me $46.38 (and then voided it) can afford to throw away customers who had been visiting that establishment for years is beyond me. He must be doing just fine financially to not care about his customers. I finally left and said to the OWNER, "That is just bad business." Shame on you Jack Yeargle! You are rude and very disrespectful and you lost a very loyal customer who has frequented your...
Read moreI had been a customer of Rudy's for years and after my last experience I will never return. I placed an order to go for my 12 year old son and myself. I was told 10 minutes when I arrived 10 minutes later I had to wait an addition 15-20 minutes. I actually checked my phone at one point to see when I had originally called. During this time I watched one order be returned due to being cold and another lady have to scrape the topping off her food since they put items on it she hadn't wanted. I got my order and left. As I was driving home I received a call from the manager stating they had given me the wrong food. To be honest I cussed and was pissed and told him I had already waited well beyond the time they origionally told. He then informed me I had been made to wait because I did not show the last time for my order. I told him I had always showed, that I remembered that time and that I had picked up my order, had eaten it, gone to bed and then woken up later to missed calls on my phone and a message saying I hadn't picked up my order. I told him they must have messed up in their computer. I told him I was just going to bring the food back and I wanted a refund. He stated he would give me basically credit for the food. I stated no I wanted my money back. I told him I had never received my actual order so I should be able to get my money back. He said it was against policy. Anyway I basically said I would keep what I had and they had lost my business. Here is the thing I am a person of many faults but I am not someone who lies. Can someone please explain to the Manager Rick or Rich not sure what his name was, is it really impossible that they had errored previously honestly they made 3 mistakes in 15 minutes tonight alone and purposely making a paying customer wait as some form of punishment really good business. Los Racherita is 2 blocks away they are now where my money...
Read moreRead moreMy buddy and I decided that we would try some upscale Taco Bell last week and we almost didn't pull in. We stopped by a little after 5 for dinner. Dark outside but so was the building. No lights on. Maybe they are on a timer? No one wants to be responsible to flip a switch. The parking lot was empty. We came in and seated ourselves. I was craving a margarita but when it came, I asked if it was a Pina Colada She said No, it is a lime margarita. (You mean ice margarita correct?) Since they were probably not going to put anymore flavoring in it (you know, since chips and salsa are never given out here) I asked for some limes. If you see the limes in the picture? Yes, I squeezed all of those in to get some flavoring. It kinda worked but I had so much ice in the glass that I couldn't get anymore up the straw. You can see by the pics how much was left. I can tell you if my margarita glass has that much left in it, that's not good. The beef burritos are still very good and at least hot the first time around this time. I was not paying $16.00 for a Large Combo which half of the combo consist of a couple of tacos and a tostada. My buddy's biggest complaint was the $3.50 for the 3 spoons of rice and 3 spoons full of beans that come in those little bowls. He said wasn't worth it. If I ever come back it will be for Beef Burritos and water. We are 50+ and were the youngest guys in there. So Wednesdays might be senior night and since I am almost there, I might have to look into that. lol. As many reviews revolve around the wait staff. Our waitress was good. No complaints there, so there are some positives but I will let my white lime margarita do the...
