New China Restaurant — Restaurant in Monroe

New China is an authentic Chinese Restuarant!! It's not fancy. You go there for absolutely authentic Chinese Cooking with a big menu that comes out fresh made every time. Think of it as a Chinese Kitchen with a small clean dining room. My favorite is the Pu Pu Platter which is many Chinese Appetizers for 2. My husband's favorite is their Egg Foo Yong. There soups are fantastic. My husband's favorite is Won Ton soup; tender noodles wrapped around wonderful seasoned pork in an almost golden broth. I love both the Egg Drop soup and the Hot & Sour soup. Their Egg Drop Soup is hot lightly thickened broth with beaten egg gently drizzled in. New China's chef makes the best Hot & Sour soup. It is a tangy spicy broth and sliced slightly crisp vegetables and thick slivers of tofu. I'm originally from NYC. I know GREAT Chinese. New China is GREAT Authentic Chinese food cooked right there in the kitchen...

We usually go here because it's closer than the other place that is a bit better and cheaper, but, from now on we will drive the extra 10 miles to avoid this establishment. The lady that just took my order hung up on me after I asked for my total. She has been extremely rude to me on one other occassion (in person) and twice on the phone. In the past I just chalked it up to them being really busy, but this was unacceptable!

I placed my order, asked for the total, there was a long pause, then she made a grunting noise and slammed the phone down! Absolutely wonderful customer service (she says sarcastically, laughing out loud!) Unbelievable! Guess you don't want our business?...

The woman who answered the phone was very rude. She called 15 minutes after my order and told me that my food was ready, at that time my fiance was on his way to pick it up. Obviously he wasn't fast enough as she continued to blow my phone up (I was showering and couldn't answer) when he got there she stated that they sold our food and he would have to wait for our food to be cooked again. He did and the food was very good however; I will never order from there again. I would think that they're customer service would be better being that there is 3 other Chinese restaurants...
