Skinny Cook — Restaurant in Monroe

Never in my life… my entire life… have i gotten an Italian sub that ONLY comes with meat and cheeses (no lettuce, tomato, or onion). Maybe if you were to specify thaat you dolidnt want any of the stuff on it… but thats not what i did.. I thought the sub was wrong so i called to ask what the heck happened to the other half of my sandwich ingredients. Imagine my surprise when i call them and they tell me thats how it comes….. $9 for this with no side?…. For bread a few slices of meat and a piece of cheese. Thats crazy. And wouldnt you know but it was the most bland sandwich I’ve had in a long time… its almost like… half the ingredients were missing. Lol i guess that explains the name… but its odd because lettuce tomatoes and onions are the only healthy part of the sub.. Maybe it means the food is Skinny, not me for eating it. Seriously though… do you not know what an Italian sub is? Its just crazy to think thats what i would want for 10$. My wife’s meal was wrong as well she asked for no onion, but instead they added onion and forgot mushrooms... 0 for 2. I would only recommend this place to people i secretly dont like… like waist 20 bucks for food and still be hungry after because you cant eat any of it. Also they told me they wont refund me but to just come back tomorrow to try again… and while I appreciate the lady on the phone doing her very best (don't shoot the messenger) as she was very sweet but clearly just the intermediary. I don't really feel like trying here again EVER, much less tomorrow… Which shouldn't be a super big surprise. So i guess im just out 20 bucks… and i have to eat snacks for lunch because i dont have time to get something new.

PRO TIP: if you get 2 out of 2 orders wrong for someone and they call asking for a refund… just give it to them. If you don’t, they may be inclined to take to the google review board and rant about their...

Straight trash. My girlfriend and I wanted breakfast last weekend and I didn't feel like driving far. "How about The Skinny Cook?" "Let's see the menu." After looking over the menu online, I called and placed my order. "Skinny Cook, how can I help you?" "Hi, I'd like to place an order for pick-up..." "Ok what would you like?" "Can I please have two buttermilk pancakes w chocolate chips added and bacon to go with that, and she wants her bacon extra crispy. I would like the Shrimp and Grits with one side order scrambled egg." "Ok we'll go ahead and get that ready for you." Wrong. They did not get that ready for me because when I got there 15 minutes later the tall lady in glasses didn't know what I was talking about. "Did you order the Chicken and Waffles?" "No, I did not." "Ok, what did you order?" She positioned herself in-front of the cash register to ring up my order. Still skeptical if my order had even started being prepared, I answered, "Two buttermilk pancakes with chocolate chips added and bacon cooked crispy with it." "You want to add a side of bacon to the pancakes?" "No, the menu online says the pancakes come with a choice of one breakfast meat, sausage or bacon." Pointing to a different menu with different prices taped to a greasy counter, she pointed to the pancakes section where, sure enough, the choice for breakfast meat had been removed. "It don't come with bacon or sausage, I can add it on the side if you want me to." "No, the menu online says the pancakes come with a choice of bacon or sausage." My brother, sister n law, niece, and myself decided to have breakfast today at skinny cook. The service was horrible. We were told to sit wherever we want. The waitress that took our order wasn’t the same waitress that brought the food out. Food was taken to the wrong table, then taken back to kitchen, then brought back to us. Each of the 4 of us had 2 to 3 plates each with no room left on the table we had to hold on our hands. I then asked if we could have the table next to us cleaned so two of us could move over and also if we could get silverware to eat with. She rolled her eyes and went to get a cloth to wipe table down then went back got silver and put it on the table she just cleaned instead of putting on table we were sitting at and walked off. Mean while when I began to eat my food had gotten cold. All her other customers she was very pleasant with. Halfway through our meal the waitress that took our order asked if we needed anything like ketchup. I will not be going back...
