I ordered from Caribbean Touch Restaurant through Uber Eats while traveling for work. I ordered oxtails with rice and peas, but instead received jerk chicken — a dish I cannot eat due to health reasons.
Here’s what went wrong: • The restaurant admitted their mistake (the owner confirmed I was given someone else’s order) but refused to make it right, offering no solution and even allowing an employee to treat me rudely when I followed up. • Uber Eats’ app promised I’d get an immediate call from the driver to resolve the issue — but no call ever came. • I submitted a ticket right away, but Uber didn’t reply until the next day. By then, it was too late.
Bottom line: The restaurant showed no accountability, by not even thinking outside the box such as getting a local taxi to bring me the correct meal and Uber Eats failed to provide timely or meaningful support.    Read moreI’ve been craving oxtail and I’m temporarily in NJ—normally I go to Jamaica, Queens for my fix. I found this spot on Uber Eats. The price was definitely higher than what I’m used to, but with how expensive oxtail is in the supermarket these days, I didn’t complain.
But mi heart sink when I opened that container. Whe di oxtail deh?! For $30, I got four little pieces. Straight robbery, mi seh. The rice and peas was mostly just rice and a couple kidney beans.
