I'm a student on the campus this Panera location is nestled within. My complaints with the restaurant in general are few and far in between; the staff work as quickly as they can given the sheer volume and frequency of orders they receive, and to my knowledge they've never gotten my order wrong. My main issue -- and the reason I docked two stars from this review -- is the fact that this location's integration with the Panera app is completely broken. Oftentimes at this location, I pay with my student card because I have money allocated to be used for food on campus as per my meal plan. Panera has included a feature to pay with student cards within their app already -- but this location has not integrated it properly. When trying to pay with a student card on the app, you are met with a white screen on which nothing appears no matter how long you wait. This means that if you are a student and don't want to pay out of pocket on every visit, you are forced to come to the physical location before you can even order. This, and the subsequent inability to order ahead unless paying out of pocket, is a massive inconvenience for hundreds of students ESPECIALLY given the wait times. Because I can't order ahead while I'm still in class, I am forced to make my way to the location itself to order, and I often end up missing my train or bus. Frankly, this issue is ridiculous and likely can be easily fixed. It's silly that I even have to write this review as I am far from the first student to express contempt for this issue. Hopefully someone at MSU or the management of this location see this review and sort the problem out...
Read moreSame as the last reviewer, my order took 2 hours before it was ready. I ordered at 2:06PM. Order was ready at 4:16PM. I spoke with someone to try and get a refund around 3:15PM because I had to leave since I have classes Wednesday from 3:30PM to 8:05PM.
The app wasn’t allowing me to cancel my order even though it wasn’t being prepared yet. I have to speak to someone about a refund again.
I always see the employees working hard, so I can’t even be upset. I think it’s an issue with the online ordering system which is probably controlled by corporate. Corporate probably expects workers to make orders in 5 minutes or less.
If you’re ordering from here anytime between 10AM and 3PM, keep in mind your order is probably going to be ready anywhere from 1 to 2 hours later. Try not to order here past 3PM. It’s stressful for workers and...
Read moreI'm a student and usually this panera doesn't give me much of an issue. however, today i waited 1.5 hours for my sandwhich and side of soup. they were out of their side of bread so i got chips. the guy at the front told me they no longer have turkey so i got ham on my sandwich instead, he was nice about it though. then the food comes out. the soup was goopy and lukewarm. my sandwich had a bread that tasted sweet, almost like a cinnamon raisin bread. and mind you it was a ham and cheese sandwich. then i went to eat the chips and they have been expired for about a month. today is 8/29 and the first day of classes. the people next to me had a hole burn through their cup because their coffee was so hot. also they stopped taking orders an hour before closing because they ran out of all their bread and other...
