Complete disregard for public health.
I have been a recurring customer here for many years now and have always enjoyed their food.
Today wasn't a good day.
Today is Friday, July 17, 2020. I walked in with my mask on and stood in line to place my order when I noticed a woman standing in the kitchen area with her son, both not wearing a mask. I got her attention and asked her to put on her mask and to get her son his maks. Her reply was: "Oh, I don't work here."
(So, if you don't work here, why are you in the kitchen?)
I told her that that was irrelevant. All the kitchen staff was wearing a mask, all the customers were wearing a mask, there is a sign on the door that says you have to wear a mask. I addressed the kitchen staff in regards to the woman and her child and no one would even look me in the eyes let alone reply.
I'm no germaphobe and I respect other people's space, however, if I can't order a taco without having to wear a mask, then this woman shouldn't be in the kitchen of a restaurant...
Read moreI've been coming here (Montebello location on Olympic and Garfield) for years regardless of the bad service and terrible parking lot, but today I end my relationship with this restaurant because the service is just so bad and so rude, the delicious food isn't worth it. The drive-thru specifically has a terrible communication box and the chances of your order being right are 50/50 if you drive thru. The line sometimes takes WAY too long, regardless if there are only 2 cars in line and literally no one eating inside. They do not accept American Express. They are the rudest people regardless if you're nice and even tip! The only thing good about this place is the food, so that's why they stay open and busy, but recently the service makes it impossible to enjoy the good food. Or your order is wrong. I can only speak for this location, as I've had positive experiences at the Sergios in East LA that doesn't have...
Read moreIf you come to Sergio’s, you HAVE to get a wet burrito. They’re super delicious. Now I will say the cook who’s at the grill tends to matter a lot. Sometimes they have some of the younger crew running the grills and the food just doesn’t have that consistent quality. However, for the most part their wet burritos and Sopes overall are the hitters at Sergio’s. They’re so good. I’ve been coming here for over 10 years and I’ll keep coming back. If you’ve tasted Sergio’s on Garfield and Olympic it does not even compare, the Vail location wet burritos...
