I am writing a review because I care about the community and I care about the success of this establishment. I feel it’s important to share this here with hopes they make adjustments with this constructive feedback. I’m also not writing this as a one-time complaint; it’s been repetitive and that’s what’s driving me to leave a review. I’ve been a frequent customer here and have seen the same pattern over and over. The food is ALWAYS delicious, it truly is, but service, systems and overall customer experience is in desperate need of serious improvement.

Every time we order for pickup, it takes 2-3x longer than the time quoted online. The website usually says 20–25 minutes, but I have never once received my food in less than an hour. More specifically, on my most recent visit, I placed an order online, arrived five minutes after the quoted 25 minutes. Upon checking in with the hostess, I was told it would be ready in five more minutes. I checked in 3 more times over the next half hour, and each time I was told “just a few more minutes” by different staff. In the end, I waited a total of 1 hour and 10 minutes after placing my order before finally receiving my food. I was not alone either, many others were clearly frustrated while waiting for their food, some even longer than me. What made it worse was the unapologetic approach from staff. There was no acknowledgment of the delay, no offer to make it right, just a sense of “this is the way it is.” The entitlement was next level.

This probably would be okay if there was more transparency. If you are very behind, tell me upfront that it will take 45 minutes or an hour. Better yet, tell me when I’m there so I can manage expectations. At least then I can plan my time accordingly. Instead what they did was constantly say “a few more minutes” … which only makes the situation more frustrating. Train your staff to communicate honestly with customers and set realistic expectations, it will be much more appreciated. Above all, value your customers’ time. The entire experience gave me the impression that the restaurant’s time was more important than mine. That should never be the case. Respecting the customer’s time is just as important as preparing good food.

Ultimately, good food alone is not enough to build lasting customer loyalty. In today’s world, customer experience matters just as much. I truly hope the owners/operators read this feedback and improve their systems, processes and customer experience. Without change, the frustration of repeated long waits will drive customers away, which would be a real loss to the community given how good...

Excellent new addition to the Montgomery food scene! Went in for dinner and absolutely enjoyed every single dish that we ordered. The Pepper Chicken Soup was soothing to the soul and was exactly what we needed on a crisp Fall night. We started off with the Chicken 65, Karivepaku Chicken and the Tandoori Broccoli. Both the chicken dishes were absolutely yummy in their own ways and the chicken was so tender and perfectly cooked. Tandoori Broccoli was new to us and fast became a delicious favorite - the spiciness of the coating contrasted with the beautifully crisp broccoli!

For the mains, we paired the layered Parotta with Butter Chicken Masala and the Kadai Veg. The Butter Chicken Masala had some added twist in the masala that made it stand out and different from others we've had before. The Kadai Veg with the Paneer was wonderful and filling! The boneless chicken biriyani that we missed taking a pic of was so good too! In all of the dishes, we could totally taste the freshness in the masalas and what a difference it made!!!

After all this indulgence we couldn't leave without tasting the Mango Rasmalai and the Mango Lassi. True to it's name, the restaurant had made a mark with both the Mango dishes!

If you're looking to get your Indian food fix, you can't go wrong with this one!

Oh I should also mention this for the Indians out there - when you step in, the mango tree mural, the Worli art and the rattan furniture are sure to take you on a nostalgic trip. Fabulous decor with the right combo of retro and chic!

Update 8/24 Kicking off Onam celebration with a delicious spread! So many items served beautifully on a banana leaf - the portion sizes were perfect and the dishes were light enough that at the end we felt satiated without being cloyed. Lovely start to a season of...

I am usually not the customer who complains about the restaurants, I walked into the restaurant decent experince I walked in they great and asked us to be seated , I just went there because I saw it newly open and want to give it a shot.

But this restaurant was a nightmare I went there at 7:00PM they took 30-35 minutes to bring my main course which was just 2 thing Panner Tikka Masala and a cheese Nan decent amount of time I have seen way better faster service , but we are not going to complain about it. As soon as my food came in I knew it is going to take long so I ordered Dal Tadka around 7:45 and then it started they took full 50 minutes to make a dal tadka I was frustrated so I said cancel my Dal tadka then they were alerted and they brought my food after fifty minutes a 8:35 , upon receiving my food they said originally it was given to another customer that was one thing which made my experience bad.

Secondly, the service and staff (Servers) I had a guy who was taking my order he was so bad at providing customer service , I asked him to bring me some spoons and napkins but he never did , after I waited for like 40 minutes for my dal tadka, I LITRELLAY CALLED HIM AND HE IGONERED I don't what kind of people they have hired so service is also bad.

I do not know how these people are giving them 5 stars either they have not seen a good restaurant with fast service and attentive staff or they just...

We had an absolutely delightful dining experience at The Mango Tree Indian Cuisine! The food was flavorful, authentic, and prepared with great attention to detail. Here’s what we tried: • Mutton (Baby Goat) Sukka: The baby goat meat was perfectly marinated, roasted, and seared with aromatic spices. The flavors were bold, and the texture was tender—a must-try for goat lovers. • Salmon Tikka: Exceptional! The salmon was cooked to perfection, with a smoky char and a well-balanced spice blend that made it stand out. • Mysore Rasam: A comforting, tangy, and spicy soup that warmed us up beautifully. It’s a perfect start to the meal. • Eggplant Curry: A rich and flavorful dish that highlighted the eggplant’s texture and absorbed the spices perfectly. • Karampodi Chicken: This dish was a pleasant surprise! The crispy, spicy chicken was seasoned with traditional Andhra-style spices and had just the right kick. • Chennai Special Filter Kopi: We ended our meal with this classic South Indian coffee. It was aromatic, strong, and had the perfect frothy finish—a true treat! The service was friendly and attentive, and the ambiance added to the overall experience. This is a fantastic spot for anyone craving authentic Indian cuisine in the Belle Mead, NJ area. Highly recommended!

To start this off the food is absolutely delicious, I enjoyed the meals. When I walked in I was immediately seated with my fiancée and I with 4 others family members. Although the food is great, the customer service is incredibly disappointing. We waited for 25 minutes for drinks and menus when the other customers around us had their drinks and menus right off the bat. They knew a 6 person party was coming and they did not think to accommodate us the same as the other customers. We had to take matters into our own hands and tell the host about it, but then he laughed at my face in front of my family members. After our waiter had taken our orders I(the writer) was given a water sized glass cup of mango lassi while others around me had a much bigger cup for their mango lassi(picture provided). I was excited to dine here and the service has pointed me in the direction of not coming back again. I will say the Owner is extremely nice and understanding but if you are an American Do Not come here because they will treat you differently.. (We paid over 120)
