My group of 4 was in the area for the weekend for snowboarding. This restaurant was recommended by our Airbnb host, as well as some locals. I also read some reviews beforehand and thought it would be a solid place. We called on a Saturday night to see if they had any openings and the person we spoke with hesitated but said to come for 7:45. I wish they had just told us they were full…we got there for 7:45 and waited at least 20 minutes after being seated before our server came by to ask for our drink order. She was very nice, however and I don’t blame her for the terrible experience. I’m guessing they were understaffed - but again, they should have just said they didn’t have an opening and spared us. I ordered the chicken Marsala and my bf ordered the maple pork chop which sounded delicious and we were both excited. We weren’t served our dinner until well after 9pm. As they brought the food out they said they replaced the mashed potatoes with baked potatoes since they ran out. We had no warning of this and my bf was upset because he would have asked for rice over a baked potato…I had 2 bites of the chicken Marsala and it was extremely bland and disappointing- I’ve made chicken Marsala myself that was 10x better, and I’m no chef. The pork chop was extremely dry (I tried a bite and it took over a minute to chew it and swallow) and the when the waitress asked if it was “worth the wait” he lied and said yes because he didn’t want to be rude. When my plate was cleared and I declined a box to take it home, no one asked if the meal was ok even though it was clear it was not. Expensive bill on top of it all. Not to mention the atmosphere is extremely weird - you’re stuffed into a small, cluttered old house essentially, with thrift store looking decor and cobwebs everywhere on the ceiling. We “joked” that we wished we had just stayed home and had frozen pizza instead. 2/10 - do...

We stayed at Jay Peak for the weekend and decided to try out Bernies based on the reviews. Unfortunately I have no idea how this restaurant received all of these great reviews. This was by far the most uncomfortable dining experience my family has ever had. When we walked in we were brought to a 4 person table squeezed in to the middle of a small room in the very front of the restaurant. As we were seated a waitress very loudly said to the woman seating us that she had no way to walk by and asked why she sat us there. It was very clear that only locals were in the restaurant and even more abundantly clear when an older gentleman seared at a large table behind us very loudly said why are they still here, pointing to my family.

We have two young children and every other word out of the mouth of a woman at the party behind us was a cuss word.

We were given menus and no drinks were listed. The menu was standard fare and not realizing that there were any options we ordered water and soda. It would have been nice to have been told that the restaurant had a full bar or specifically what drink options there were.

We ordered very basic items and they were all disgusting aside from the kids grilled cheese. The cheeseburger was so inedible that I had 2 bites before pushing it aside.

Wanting to quickly leave the horribly uncomfortable environment we asked for the check and paid. As we were leaving the chef and waitresses stared at us as we walked out, not saying a thing.

If you are not a local I would stay far far away - there are many better dining options a short distance away - try the Big Jay Tavern and you'll be...

Ordered two drinks when we got there. I didn't like the cider I ordered so I asked the waitress for a gin and tonic. She said ok and also took our order at the same time. We waited and waited still no drink. About 30 mins later our food came out and still no drink. So once the food came out she asked if we needed ketchup or bbq sauce. My Gf asked for some bbq sauce and I asked if she could also bring my drink. She looked at me and said "Yeah ok" with a look of disguste and walked away. She came out minute's later with my gf's bbq sauce and still no drink. She then said oh I'll bring your drink right out. She then asked me if I wanted a double or single I said double and when I finally got my drink it was all tonic water and tasted like garbage and the lime was half brown. It took 30mins after we were done eating before she decided to ask if we wanted our check. Then when she comes back she says to my gf..I think I dropped your credit card on the floor back there let me go get it. My gf said yeah please go get my card. The waitress was very rude to myself and very nice to my gf. We are visiting from NY and next time we come out we will not be going back. The food was ok but...

This is a great little place right on the main road in Montgomery. First to know, it's a very small establishment, and reservations are highly recommended, especially on weekends or holidays. We were lucky enough to get a walk-in table for two, but saw many other groups turned away due to lack of available tables. Also, the menu varies on different days; we were there on Mexican night. The full dinner menu isn't necessarily available on theme nights like Mexican night, but we really enjoyed our food. The guacamole was excellent and the salsa was delicious without being too hot or too mild. The house margaritas were excellent. I haven't had their regular dinner menu, but would love to go back and try some more of their food.

Nice spot for breakfast. Came in around 9:30am, they had the backroom ready for a big group coming in for lunch. We (7 of us) offered to sit on the bar and they were fine with it. Felt a little rushed because they need to get us out before they came. Although we had plenty of time before lunch time. Anyways I ordered the breakfast burrito (came with homemade fries) with pineapple juice. The burrito was good but was hoping for a bigger serving. One of the guys ordered bloody mary but it was served frozen. He said it wasn’t that good. Hoping for some fresh drink he says. Probably one of those hit and miss place. Limited parking at the back.

We just arrived in town and glad we stopped here for lunch. There was only 1 other person already served and we were greeted and sat at our table quickly and with friendly service. Our sandwiches were really good, my chicken sandwich had a lot of cheese and the bacon was crispy. The Philly steak was good too, good serving of meat with veggie mix and cheese. Maybe we’ll get another chance to stop in before we do, price was very reasonable for 2.
