Chuck’s is an amazing place that I’m so glad I ran across and got to experience! From the ambience, the food, to the incredible service, everything is stellar — no over exaggerating! Will, Rich, and Dre are amazing at the bar. Different personalities but a great group of guys that are super responsive, very friendly, great conversationalists, and singers lol. The Lavender Lemon is my absolute favorite. They know what I want when I walk through the door — very intuitive. Reneé and her team behind the sushi bar are incredible, swift, adaptable, and very kind. They are always courteous and their plating is AMAZING! My favorite sushi is the Backdown! I’ve been frequenting the spot everyday for about three weeks straight and they are consistently consistent. The one and only down side is the bar manager, Scott. He’s rude, dry, and very insensitive. No personality whatsoever, lacks a friendly demeanor that a GM should exude, and not welcoming at all to say the least about him. He shouldn’t be a manager and he shouldn’t work in an atmosphere that includes people, period. I’ve actually made an effort to reach out to the higher ups or owners to speak with them personally regarding his behavior, his horrible attitude, and his service or lack there of. Avoid Scott at all cost and you’ll be fine and have an enjoyable experience. He’s easy to identify. Just look for the man with the cold face and horrible body language. He’s literally the only bad thing that exists at Chuck’s. Kudos to Danita, Sarah, and all of the...
Read moreChuck’s Montgomery is a delightful spot if you’re in the mood for fresh seafood and a vibrant atmosphere. Our evening began perfectly at the bar, enjoying well-crafted cocktails before moving on to dinner. We kicked things off with the wedge salad, which was deliciously crisp and flavorful, although the bacon could have been fresher instead of pre-packaged.
For the main courses, we opted for the blue tail tuna special served with broccoli risotto and the chicken piccata. The bluefin tuna was outstanding—succulent, perfectly seared, and memorable. The broccoli risotto complemented it nicely. Meanwhile, the chicken piccata was wonderfully moist and tender, with pasta cooked to the ideal al dente texture.
On the downside, the sushi offerings seemed overpriced, nearly double the cost compared to local competitors. Additionally, the casual attire of the staff—T-shirts and baseball caps—felt somewhat incongruous with the upscale pricing and ambiance, making it challenging to distinguish staff members from guests.
Despite these minor shortcomings, the quality of food and the overall atmosphere were impressive, and the service was notably attentive and professional despite the casual dress. I look forward to returning to Chuck Montgomery for another delightful...
Read moreI gave 1 star only because at least the food was decent , but what truly spoiled the experience was the service. We spent $200+ for a birthday dinner, but the server was lazy and did not know how to do her job. One of the items ordered was an $18 fig salad, and when we notified our server there were no figs in our salad, our server did not apologize, she did not comp us for the salad nor did she get us a new salad. She just blamed that they were really busy. I understand mistakes are made but that is an inexcusable response. Secondly, one of the entrees was supposed to come with garlic bread, and when it didn’t we mentioned it to our server. Her response was that the restaurant no longer serves garlic bread with their pastas. It was on the menu and others who have ordered the same item received garlic bread. In hindsight I should’ve asked to speak to a manager but if you’re going to conduct a business please hire servers who are honest, hard working, and actually care to provide good customer service. I wish I had spent my...
