Eddy’s restaurant is located inside Montgomery’s newest whitewater attraction park. My colleagues and I dined at the restaurant located right outside the front gate of Maxwell Air Force Base for lunch. Parking was plentiful and easy to find. The restaurant is located towards the entrance of the facility. Eddy’s restaurant was immaculately clean with bright colors, accenting the restaurant.
In addition to normal, air-conditioned seating for individuals and small groups, Eddy’s also has plentiful, covered outdoor seating. Additionally, there is a larger group room available for reservations that can open up with two large garage size windows. Eddy’s overlooks the whitewater course. When the course is filled with water, there is a breeze felt to patrons sitting outdoors to eat.
The staff was attentive and eager to please customers. Many of them were still in training.
The ladies bathroom was very clean with 2 to 3 stalls.
Eddy’s has a focused menu of entrées to include an amazing looking burger and fries; a vegetarian burger; fish tacos with seasoned tortilla chips and rice; chicken finger; and a Asian chicken bowl. The helpings are perfectly sized to leave you satisfied. What I found particularly interesting was the drink menu—and honestly, I’m going to go back repeatedly to try these out—which boasted a margarita flight with eight different ‘rita flavors, and an assortment of specialty drinks. The dishes we ordered were timely, heated to perfection, and aesthetically mouthwatering. None of the entrées were over $15, making this restaurant the newest hot-spot to dine at, for the military community, and those who work and live in downtown Montgomery. Highly recommend adding this restaurant to your...
Read moreThe atmosphere and the ambiance of the outside activities and the setting for talking and fellowship was very nice and me and my family was coming in from out of town and decided to experience this restaurant for the first time, and for the prices of this food I would have thought I would have had a more enjoyable time but no it was overpriced and the service was terrible so needless to say we won't be visiting this establishment again. The service and the look of the food were NOT up to par not even a little bit. If I could have given the food and service less than 1 star I definitely would have. First the service was terrible, reason I say the LOOK of the food was mediocre was because I waited 20 whole minutes along with my cousin to get our food and this was after I had ordered and come from the restroom, after the food sat and my drink had sat on a table and gotten watered down, no one let me know it was sitting there or anything oand I stood and waited so long the food had gotten cold and not appetizing and plus I didn't even get my whole meal so I could go sit and eat, I then had to wait for my drink and condiments an extra few minutes to get my completed meal, I got angry my food had gotten cold by that time so I just got a refund for the whole meal. The manager of course had an attitude about it and not very professional at all but he did give me my refund so that was the importance to me. Again if visiting Montgomery Alabama I do not recommend this place for your dining experience, now the activities looked fun for the kids and even adults as well but I specifically went to whitewater to experience the restaurant and left very disappointed...
Read more$90 million and this is the one restaurant offered, seriously?!? It took 5 people to figure out how to seat a party of three in a nearly empty restaurant. Getting drinks took forever...after they don't have a drink menu, the server cannot answer basic questions, and they were out of first seven drinks we ordered and then the drinks were just ok. Food options are very minimal and pricey for what you get and poorly cooked. Fish tacos are frozen fish sticks with a tiny bit of cole slaw on it. Disgusting. Wings were ok. Fries were cold. They only cook burgers well done at this point, so I went without food (being maxed out from trying to order and get our drinks and refusing that can't cook a burger any other way). This is the worst food, service, and prices I have seen in a long time in Montgomery. They need to seriously tighten up and train their host/hostesses, servers, bartenders, and cooks to have a fighting chance at this restaurant making it. A bigger menu is needed but no sense if you can't master cooking five basic items on current menu. The restaurant would be better off having food catered in or buying mass from a warehouse. Yuck!
I really hope the owner and managers pull this together. It has potential with the building, seating, view of rafters, free parking and location. If it continues down this path it will be belly up in no time. I am dreading returning in a couple weeks. I hope I am proved wrong by then. So...
