I work around the corner from them so I have frequented this place a couple of times. I ordered a salad today and asked for vinaigrette dressing because I do not like the alabama white sauce or the bbq sauce. I walked over and got my salad and once I got back to my office and opened the box, my salad had the white sauce and the bbq sauce on it. I called over to ask if they usually put the sauces on the salad in addition to giving you salad dressing and the lady who answered the phone said yes. I didn't argue and I hung up. I was hoping she'd offer to remake it for me but no. I know that is not true because the last time I ordered one from them, there were no sauces on my salad and my dressing came on the side.
Why would someone add all those sauces and additional dressing to make the salad soggy and inedible? I had to reluctantly eat this salad because I paid $18.70 for it and second I work in an office of only one person so I couldn't leave to get anything else. It was mush/soupy by the time I poured only one cup of the dressing on it. Very disappointed and I don't think I will frequent again. The positive was they young lady at the...
Read moreWhen you first walk in there is a giant menu board behind the hostess bar. I had to place my order right then and there so I felt rushed to make a decision of what I wanted! It was almost 4:30 and I was told I could pick any seat that I wanted since there were only a handful of people there! I had barely sat down when I heard my last name being yelled and a big tray of food was is placed in front of me! First impressions was where is the rest of my barbecue and all the sides were in small styrofoam cups except a nice size slice of cornbread it was just on the paper on the tray! I tried the barbecue first don't get me wrong it's delicious and so what's the cornbread and baked beans but the macaroni and cheese was missing the cheese! It was so dry I could not eat it all! The potato salad was overpowered with green peppers and the coleslaw had either green peppers or jalapenos in it! I had always heard good things about Moe's BBQ but this was a one and done...
Read moreI’ve gone to the Moe’s in Tuscaloosa several times and I’ve been to the two locations in the Auburn area more than one hundred times. Firstly, this location doesn’t offer any carry-out deals like the other locations do. So I tried to order the 1lb. Turkey w/ 2 sides, and cornbread (what I always order) and they’re confused as to what that is. They offer me 1lb. Turkey w/ 1 side, I accept. It cost me exactly what the carry-out deal always cost me ($22.50). As steep as this sounds, this usually feeds two people and comes with additional cornbread and sauce. I open the box and there is no sauce, cornbread or utensils to be found. The turkey is served dry, with 1 pint of collards, and nothing to eat it with. I’m not even mad, but a little confused as to how two locations of the same business are doing a far better job than this one while employing almost exclusively college kids. This is the first and last time I’ll eat...
