CowHaus Coffee Company — Restaurant in Monticello

They say you don't know what you'll miss until it's gone. Oh, CowHaus, Jason and Ashley, how I miss thee. For 50 weeks I had the pleasure of working right next door, and the CowHaus was like that perfect pair of blue jeans. You know the pair that fits just right, and when you walk by people glance your way. Those jeans. But now that I work 40 minutes away the convenience of the CowHaus is gone and I miss it so much.

However, I had the opportunity to visit yesterday and like the old pair of blue jeans, for a moment, everything was right in the world.

Perhaps the best thing about the CowHaus is Ashley, Charlotte, and Jason. They are people who care, connect, and lift you up even on the toughest days. And whether you're getting "the usual" or if you ask for something off the wall (SlaughterHaus with Peppermint) they will always accommodate.

Great seeing y'all, miss ya, and you can bet your bottom I'll be back to see you to see...

Owners Jason,Ashley, and Charlotte opened this gem of a coffee shop and the little town of Monticello Florida . Located downtown on the roundabout, you can expect expert baristas and super friendly Family run service . The quality of the drinks they produce is top notch! The coffee is free trade coffee and Jason, who had the idea to open the coffee shop, has worked at Redeye Coffee shop in Tallahassee as well as E3 Church as a barista for years . My drink of choice was the cafe Dirty Chai with a shot of espresso . I love visiting this coffee shop during my trips to Monticello and I can’t wait to come back on my next visit! I have stopped for coffee in many, many places around the country as far south as Miami, as far north as West Virginia, and as far west as the Texas hill country and I can honestly say I have never had a better cup of coffee anywhere! I have also never had a pastry so good that I'm still thinking about it days later (I had the peach danish). I have never been so impressed by a coffee shop that I've even taken the time out to write a review on another one. I will go out of my way to stop here every time I travel in that general direction from now on. The shop is also beautiful and relaxing but that's just a bonus to the amazing coffee...
