Monical's Pizza — Restaurant in Monticello

I grew up on Monicals and have probably went to half of the ones that are open now over the past 10+ years. I don't know what happened that day, but all three of us who ate the family pleaser went home feeling really bad. Additionally, they seemed to have started skimping on their dishes. The bowls used to be so much thicker/heavier... made for a more pleasurable experience. Now I had a hard time eating my salad without holding it in place with one hand. I still like the place and will go back, but if this kind of experience happens routinely... well, I may have to find a new place to go. All kinds of new smaller Pizza places popping up everywhere. We were the only family in the dining area. It was early around 445. Our order was not made correctly. I addressed the situation with the waitress, I declined a new pizza to be made as we were hungry and I had 2 kids to feed. It is frustrating as a customer that you order something specific, not busy, it goes through 3 hands the prep person, the cook and the waitress, no one noticed the order was wrong. We got there when they opened so no wait. You order at the desk by the door then sit down and they bring your food and drinks. The service was really good and food was fresh. The pizza was really good, and the lasagna wasnt to my liking (no meat). The sauce didnt have much flavor but it was good and fresh. Bathrooms were clean and stocked. The prices were on the less expensive side. They have a family size portion option. Dont forget to follow me...
