Read good reviews about this place so I thought I would give it a try. I wish I could rate it higher but the food was subpar. The person taking my take out order, while not rude, wasn’t exactly friendly. The speed of service was good as were the prices and portion sizes. I ordered the Hunan Chicken. I had read one review stating how good the Hot n Sour soup is so I added that as well. I got it home and tried the soup. Well for starters it had peas and carrots in it. Never seen that before. But these weren’t just peas and carrots, they were obviously dehydrated as some of them were still a bit crunchy. The soup tasted like some kind of soup mix like you would find at Walmart, with a few canned bamboo shoots and mushrooms tossed in. But the worst part was the amount of vinegar in it. It was so overwhelming I couldn’t finish the soup. As for the Hunan Chicken entree, while I won’t say it was really bad, neither was it very good. I can definitely say it was unlike any version of Hunan Chicken I have ever experienced. I hate to pan lil mom n pop restaurants. Perhaps I was just there on a bad night but I have no plans to return...
Read moreA meager 'mom and pop' setting that has 'lost in translation' overtones. I told the lady that I had a tax exempt card for our order at which time she turned around and pulled out a Pepsi from the cooler and placed it in front of me. I ordered the Jalapeno Chicken that came with fried rice. The almost too sweet Hunan style brown sauce was gloopy and triple the amount that it should have been. So much so that it bled into the rice. Sorry, but I want rice on my rice. The meat and vegetables were so drenched in sauce that it was difficult to consume very much of the dish. My grand daughter had the chicken lo mein. The noodles were'nt even lo mein noodles, but rather thin spaghetti tossed in the same sauce that was in mine. Brought home the lo mein leftovers. Another grand daughter attempted to eat the lo mein leftovers and commented that 'It was nasty'. Not the best 'takee outee'. This was my first and last...
Read moreOrdered togo. Got orange chicken with veggies fried rice, egg drop soup, and chicken lo mein. The only thing that could be eaten was the orange chicken and the soup and the soup was just bland. The orange chicken was probably the only thing that had flavor and that's just because of the sauce. The fried rice was also just bland no flavor and so very dry, also Iv had lo mein at many places and this is the first time i have ever had it burnt, dry, and bland. I have no clue why they let it go out like that it even smelled burnt when I opened it. None of the veggies were even cooked with how high they had the heat. The server was nice at least but that being said I'll never come back to this place. This isn't the first time I've had bad food here. I was just hoping since I haven't been there in years things would have...
