I've never had such a terrible experience anywhere. I wanted to have a ring custom made for my fiancé so we took some old rings to use the gold and diamonds off them. The whole time we were at the store we were treated like children who didn't know what we were talking about or what we wanted even though we did. Everything my fiancé wanted design wise they said they couldn't do it so she settled for simple that she wasn't even sure she would like. She had pictures they declined to look at at all in favor of pre done molds. And they wouldn't even look at a diamond we had that we wanted to trade for a different shape saying it was "worthless" despite not even picking it up or checking it's real or anything (the diamond was appraised elsewhere at $4,000). We were quoted a week to make the ring. We call back at a week to see if it's done. They say they haven't started and that they advise 3-4 weeks to custom make a ring. I double check the quoted finish date on the receipt they gave and it has 1 week listed on it but we were going to be ok waiting a little while longer so we go back to waiting. I call back at the 4 week mark and of course they say they haven't even started. They asked "how much of a rush was this? We just haven't gotten around to it yet" I voiced my frustrations to them and they say they'll start rushing it. We also realized after business hours that the receipt said the side diamonds were going to be channel set when we asked repeatedly for NOT channel set. I left a message with it being after hours of what was wrong and for then to call me back. I wait 5 days and have no call back. Then I call back to ask if they have an estimated time it will be done and if they got my message about the channel set and of course they say they haven't started it. At this point we're done and we tell them we'd like to come pick up our materials to go elsewhere. The person that answered the phone gives an indifferent "ok". Then a few minutes later I get a call from diamond dee lite and they ask if I wanted to come pick up a mold of the ring or our materials. I tell them we just want to pick up our materials and will be over to get them in a couple hours. The person on the phone tried to convince me not to telling me a slew of excuses and even tried lying to me about the date they quoted it would be finished saying they now advise 4-6 weeks to make a ring (the 2nd time they changed it) even though I was looking at the receipt and it quoted almost 4 weeks ago. Then he finally gives up with the excuses telling me "I guess you can go somewhere else if you really want. We haven't even melted your rings down yet so they're still intact for you". Then, we go to pick up UNTOUCHED rings just under 5 WEEKS LATER. We had told them what time we would be there and when we get to the door it's locked, and another customer is already there just knocking and waiting. We wait for a minute and then I decide to call. They answer and I let them know their door is locked and they finally come to the door to open it (not sure how your door is still locked about 6 hours after you open without anybody noticing). We go in to get our stuff back and just get told "sorry about that" and handed the intact rings and we leave. I would never tell anyone to go here unless they enjoy being treated like children and having weeks of their time wasted for no reason.
(We went to Huntington right after and had a wonderful experience and she's going to get exactly the ring she wanted. Just walked in with a picture of exactly it and the owner there said he could make the exact picture. I say go...
Read moreI had a great experience with these folks. I have had several pieces repaired and custom made. I mangled my engagement ring after catching it in a barb wire fence. It wasn't "perfect" after the repair but was nearly there. Was surprised by a new ring and setting by my hubby and I took it to Diamond De Lite for a ring guard -- Now it has a look all it's own and not like anyone else and it is a real stunner. For his wedding band I had a custom ring made based on an old antique Russian setting. I wanted a sturdy chunk of gold based on my own experience and something that would be uniquely his--and a real eye catcher. Diamond De Lite got me a beautiful diamond in my price range, worked on the mold for the ring and crafted it into just about everything I asked. I think if they had made it more intricate, it would have taken away from the strength and gold weight, which for me, were to real priorities. He loves the ring and has barely a business trip that he doesn't get not just one, but three or four remarks. Although he doesn't say much other than, had another co-worker or flight attendant ask him about it, you can tell he is happy with the ring, the work done on his behalf and is proud to be wearing it. We have not been disappointed with repairs, purchases or custom work. Will be back to this small unassuming jewelry store rather than the "has every ring from BRIDES magazine" place for the better price and frankly, a...
Read moreI went up there to have my Rolex watch band extended. The older man was very rude off the start of me walking in to the store. He took me to the counter and I handed him the watch and he immediately said it wasnât real I asked him how he knew and he said he âcould just tellâ. I just had the watch looked at by a real jeweler and they told me it was real. Donât give this place you business they are a joke and just blatantly...
