Midtown Tavern — Restaurant in Moorhead

Food was supposed to be ready at 635 so naturally I arrive a little early. Was helped shortly after I arrived and paid and was told it would be ready shortly. I sat at the bar, my second encounter was 25 minutes later at 7 pm I was asked if I wanted a beverage, I stated no I would like my food and if it will not be ready anytime soon I would like to cancel my order. The waitress/ bartender behind the bar went and checked and brought back a pizza as if that fulfilled my $50 order. 58 and some change after tip. I asked where the rest of it was and she was going to go and check. 15 minutes after the fact I was asked if I wanted a complimentary drink by another staff a male this time. Again I asked for my food or to cancel my order. Let's scramble again and check for my order and coincidentally the other 2 items came. Let's not forget my pizza sat on the bar for 15 minutes. Let's get home and where is the sauce for the pickle won ton wraps? The ranch that was ordered. I could have thought of many other things to do on a Friday night than sit and wait for 40 minutes for food that was supposed to be ready. Let's go to the hand-off of the last 2 items from the gentleman that was familiar with the situation and not even an apology. Hand off and turn around and walk away. That food should have been comped 40 minutes in but an apology would have gone alot further that nothing but missing some sauces that are obvious with an appetizer and a side of ranch that was paid for. I've been there 6 times in the past two and a half months. I went for pizza after work and sat at the bar alone. I must be invisible even when I sit next to the bar station. I was the only customer on the whole side of the bar at 4:30 and wasn't acknowledged for 10 minutes as several bartenders and wait staff passed by me multiple times just a couple feet from me. The only help I've ever had from your staff was when a gentleman from the kitchen came out and asked if I'd been helped. I immediately ordered and waited 25 minutes for my pizza and was finally told they had accidentally given it to someone else but they'd discount it to make up for that. So, I wait 10 more minutes while watching someone else eat my pizza and tried to get the attention of any bartender (to no avail) to close out my tab for half a beer. I don't know if my pizza ever made it because I walked out. 45 minutes in your establishment and all I got was ignored and a "sorry, we gave your food to someone else". I thought the first 3 times with poor service and trying to flag down a bartender (for 20 minutes one time) may have been a fluke, but you've proven multiple times that's how you do business. I would imagine it's quite easy for customers to order, eat and leave without paying when you don't pay attention to...

The first time I went, I got the midtown stack and bf got jalapeño bacon burger, but they mixed up the sauce, and I got queso on mine and he got my beer cheese on his. The second time we ordered, we both got the midtown stack and they forgot bbq sauce on both, the third time we went, I got the midtown stack and bf got the Jalapeño bacon burger again, and they forgot the onion rings on mine and forgot the bacon on his.

And yet we still keep going back … why? Because no matter in what order we end up getting our burgers (even though I still haven’t had it true to menu), they’re just soooo damn good! The food is always amazing and I can’t get enough! They seem to be super short staffed but I’m not going to complain when I still get amazing hot food. I might just have to wait a little longer for the check, or to-go containers, or a refill, but I’m going to continue to go here because they really know how to make burgers and long...
