EDIT: Apparently it is closed and up for sale already. Serves them right, hope they lost money as a result. Hopefully whoever buys it can return it to its former glory. I used to love hearing stories about the local tastee freez from my grandmother before she passed, and it was a crying shame that the new owners did such an awful job at running it. Here is a hint to any potential new owners: if a customer leaves a $100 tip and the employee literally tries to give it back but the customer insists, do not, I repeat - do NOT write up, scold, fire, then lie about the employee that did the right thing while making up excuses about customers having dementia or some baloney. Good luck and god speed to whoever gets it, as long as whoever just recently got it doesn’t have anything to do with it - even by affiliation.
This place is awful. Fired an employee for an ageist opinion probably out of jealousy for a generous tip. Afterward they lied on social media and insulted the girl. Don’t go here. The girl even tried not to take the tip, but the customer left it anyway. This is absolutely ridiculous and in no way means the customer was stupid in doing so, as a service worker I’ve had people tip me $50-$200 dollars on some orders and I myself enjoy giving as much as I can when I can to service workers precisely because they’re treated in this way. We went up to the counter and asked if they could add more hot fudge or something because they were awful. They said they couldn't take them back in.
